Okay, here's most of the message that was deleted:
Hi, it's Friday morning, hope everyone gets to have the day off, and I wanted to wish you all a happy 4th of July. I'll be going over to Renee's for a bbq, and then when the fireworks start (they have a block party) I'll go home and be with my animals. What are you guys doing for the 4th? The doctor said my toe is likely fractured, but like you said Elia, they can't do anything for it. He told me to take --------- on a regular basis for the inflamation, put ice on it, bind my little toe with the toe next to it to protect it, and elevate my foot. He also suggested buying a pair of those rubber garden shoes to wear in the house because they have a wide toe base and also so I would quit banging it. He said don't go barefoot in the house and don't wear flip flops. Hmmm, I don't think I can change that behavior, but I did bind the toes and it helps.
He also gave me a lecture on my weight gain, which is up ten pounds from the last time I was there in October, while at the same time congratulating me for the 40 pounds I am still down since the start of the diet. He gave me tons of "tips" for losing weight, all of which I already know because of the education I've gotten since starting alli. Tips like when you go to a restaurant ask to have half of your order put in a to-go box and then eat it later, bring the food you're going to eat during the day to work with you in the morning, watch portions, etc. I told him I had learned a lot about nutrition from alli and am practicing most of it on a daily basis, but I still can't control myself in a restaurant, (where I'm going in about 1/2 hour - to a Mexican restaurant, chicken fajitas, chips and salsa - hopeless).
Charlie and Spencer are doing a little bit better each day. Spencer lets him lay down near him as long as Charlie doesn't mess with him, (which he usually does), then Spencer will growl at him. But he's starting to accept that this little guy is here to stay so get used to him. Charlie is just adorable and very smart. He is almost housebroken. He uses the pet door all the time and has finally caught on that the grass is a good place to go to the bathroom. I still have the puppy pads in the house, which he uses, but i think I will be able to get rid of them soon. I am still locking him in the pen when I go to work, but I think I'll be able to start leaving him out in a very short amount of time, (just need to make sure Spencer doesn't hurt him and that he is completely house-broken). Have a good one, everybody!
Love, Judy
