     hello girls

I didnt leave town just been busygetting ready for my nieces baby shower.im making the potato salad.of course there having every thing.but they are doing a meat platter so i can be careful and my sister doesnt want any desserts .she paid a lot for a cake and she said its going to get eaten,so there wont be a lot of desserts..

elia i take melototin every nite and usually it helps me to sleep the first week i was  a little groggy then my system got used to it and now it doesnt bother me.but i still have nights my brain feels like its plugged into a light socket and its 4 or 5 am before i fall a sleep.but my sleep is much better taking it every nite.

lynn i hope your dog is doing ok.

Re: Elia, Linda, Lizzy, Patty, Kimberley, Buzz, Judy, Where Are You?

    Judy,

The Charlie and the pajama story were a hoot. i almost peed my pants. He is such a character. I bet you could write a book about all of Charlies mis/adventures. lol. too funny.

Oh, i love Dr. Oz too; he is so enthusiastic and helpful and he doesn't preach, plus being so handsome doesn't hurt either. lol.  I have a few of his books. The books are also co-written by another Doctor too, they are very understandable and have lots of pictures to so that it's not boring at all, very interesting.

Elia, you're a giant to me, 5' 4" that is, i'm 5'2" also. What a difference an inch or two makes, especially when losing wt. However i'm closer to the floor so when they say hit the deck i don't have to travel too far. lol.

Trina, so are you and Elia still in a weight loss competition? I love to read the postings btwn you two. too funny. Keep up the great work.

    Have a grt weekend everybody.

Oh, with the wt loss and exercise and change of weather i've noticed i'm not using rain as an excuse, like i used to, to get out of exercise. thursday i walked almost an hour in the rain with my new rainboots. today i managed to walk over 3 miles after we had a huge downpour. i decided when it let up i better get out there b4 it started again. i even got some good footage on my ipod/nano of the water running down the hills and such. it sounds really neet too - the trickling of water, very calming.

    peace and health my friends

Re: Elia, Linda, Lizzy, Patty, Kimberley, Buzz, Judy, Where Are You?

Judy, I can count on you to make me laugh when I am stressed to the max.  Your Charlie stories are too funny.  I brought Maggie home last night.  They even gave me color photos of the surgery.  Now I know why I never went into medicine.  She is pretty drugged up.  I give her pain meds every 4 - 6 hours.  I am glad I didn't have to work today.  I feel like I can't leave her alone for a minute.  They put 5 pins in her leg and have 2 bars on either side holding the pins.  I am going to the vet here and make sure that he knows that when I get to St George I am going to have them bill him.  I think that they are insured and bonded.  At least some of them are.  It will be a busy week.  Maggie just wants me to hold her, and I have so much to do before the movers come on Wed.  Take care and have a good Sunday, Lynn

Re: Elia, Linda, Lizzy, Patty, Kimberley, Buzz, Judy, Where Are You?

Hello everyone!! Doing ok, kind of busy weekend, shopping, which I hate!! At least it was easy to find a dressy get up without too much hazzle! Oh boy, my feet have srunk!! From a size 9 to a 7 1/2??? I think the shoe company made a mistake, that is my story!! Nita hon, I will always be competing with Trina, just for the heck of it!! Lynn, how is our poor Maggie doing? I do hope that she is not in too much pain!!  Judy, just one question, did you behave his weekend?? You know I was talking to Trina this weekend, and we both agree this new lifestyle is about a mind frame. Do I have those days that I want to eat for the sake of just eating? You bet, specaiily in the office when I am totally overhwelmed and need to take a break, but I always make sure that 1-I have healthy snacks around, and 2-I ask mysekf why I want to eat, because of hunger or emotions?  When it is due s to just emotional wants, I do have something but make sure it is healthy and low in calories and fat.   I no longer grab food just for the heck of it.  Ok gang, have a great week! Love,

    Elia

Re: Elia, Linda, Lizzy, Patty, Kimberley, Buzz, Judy, Where Are You?

Hey my friends, how is everyone today?  I'm doing okay, just not losing anymore.  Tomorrow I will go back to day one of the South Beach and see if I can lose the pound & 1/2 I gained back.  I guess I shouldn't complain, I'm still down seven more pounds than I was when I started it.  I am behaving myself, (other than that little side trip to the restaurant Saturday night).  Charlie is behaving himself except I have to be very careful when I lay any articles of my clothing down.  Even the cardigan sweater I took off last night and temporarily hung over the back of a chair disappeared, next time I saw it he was laying on it in the front room.  I guess he just wants me, probably misses me a lot when I'm at work, and thinks I smell great, lol.  That's all good, I just don't care to have my under garments and pajamas displayed in the backyard.  I love how he crawls up on my shoulder when I'm laying down in bed and gets his face in my face and looks deep into my eyes.  Such love there, so sweet and pure.  Spencer is getting used to sharing his mommy with him now, doesn't hurt so much.  I lay my head on Spender's side when he's laying down and profess my love, he loves it.  Lynn, I'm mentally going through your tough time with Maggie with you.  It's so hard to leave her alone when she is scared, in pain, and has pins in her.  You love her very much and she's a lucky dog.  Tomorrow I imagine you will go offline to move and be out of touch for a few days, but please know we're with you in heart and spirit, and let us know how everything went as soon as you are plugged in again.  Elia, I was laughing at your feet shrinking from a 9 to a 7-1/2.  I can't imagine a little squirt like you ever having size nines in the first place!  You do lose weight in your feet though - I don't know about a whole size and a half though.  Nita, Dr. Oz had the cowboy back on the show yesterday, the big meat & potato eater who he put on a 28-day vegetarian challenge.  He has lost 30 pounds and looks and feels great.  He said his snack now is nuts, always has little baggies of them with him.  Linda, how did your niece's baby shower go?  Trina, thanks again for your encouraging words.  We are all winners!

Re: Elia, Linda, Lizzy, Patty, Kimberley, Buzz, Judy, Where Are You?

    Hi Judy,

I took Maggie to the vet's yesterday.  The receptionist starting crying when she saw her.  Her leg looks bad and I wanted the vet to see what she is going through in case he has any thoughts of not paying her bills after we move.  I gave him the new vet and dog hospital in St George.  She is getting around better.  She is even putting some weight on it which is really good.  I am glad the other vet wasn't there.  When I picked Maggie up after she broke her leg the other vet (a woman) says to me "I don't know why God gave dogs 4 legs when they can get along fine with 3".  I was shocked!  I though well lady you have 2 eyes so if I punch one out you will be able to see just fine, right?  I think she needs a sensitivity class!

They will be packing my computer tomorrow so I won't be on for a while.  I think I can get on from DH's computer next Mon - Wed and then I should be back on for good.  Gosh, I will miss you girls, you are the bright spot in this whole move.  I am so glad you are coming along to UT.  And Maggie has kept me company the last 2 1/2 months since everyone left.

    I'll check in tomorrow, Lynn

Re: Elia, Linda, Lizzy, Patty, Kimberley, Buzz, Judy, Where Are You?

Lynn, with this line you made me fall in love with you:  "Well lady you have 2 eyes so if I punch one out you will be able to see just fine, right?"  That was great, too bad you couldn't actually say it to the b-word.  I'm so glad Maggie is getting better, that will make the move a little easier.  Moving is so disruptive to a person's life, I'm glad we will all be here waiting to help you transition through it.

    keep up the grt work.

    nita

oh charlie sounds like davidson/boo boo when he's up on the bed and has his face next to mine and looks at me with those huge brown/loving eyes. mind you he's about 90 pounds but he still thinks he's like 15 lbs. he's too funny. and on the couch he is our 90 lb lap dog. he has to be invited up and then i tell him to sit and then drop. he's warmer than the snuggie i have. lol.

    Lynn,

now i get it about the 2 eyes and then the 1 eye.

i hope your doggie is doing better. it's so awful when they are in pain b/c they can't tell us where it hurts. they just look at us so sadly.

good luck to you and Maggie.
