Re: How many pounds have you lost?

     HI mwok2004!

I started All on March 29, 2008. As of August 18th, I have lost 30.3lbs.

Currently, my goal is to lose a total of 44.5lbs, so that leaves a balance of 14.2 to go. I may adjust my final goal weight, once I get to my current goal. I hope to reach a 44.5lb loss by Christmas.

     Hi mwok2004,

I agree with you about the profiles not being updated.  However, if the members here are like me, they are probably still trying to get used to all the things here.  I am slowly but surely adding things to my profile but it takes time.  I read posts and find new things I haven't even been able to get to yet.  LOL  I am determined to get into updating my profile on a regular basis once I get a routine down and get used to myalliplan.

I started on August 10, 2008 and as of today I have lost 5 pounds.  My stats are in my signature.  Congratulations to you on your wonderful weight loss.  Keep up the great work.  I am in this to achieve my overall goal of losing 113 pounds.  Five down and 108 to go.

    Have a blessed day.

    Happy Hugs,

    Shelley

    Hi Mwok2004,

I can understand how it's helpful to be able to read everyone's profile. Why not post this request on the personal experiences board? It's the busiest board on here so you will reach the most people there. I'll spread the word along with you.

Re: How many pounds have you lost?

I started Alli in late Jan, 2008 at 248 pounds with an initaial goal of reaching 185 pounds. I met that and as of today I weigh 177 pounds. So, I've lost 71 pounds in 7 months.  I want to lose an aditional 29 (to 148lbs) making it a whooping 100 pound loss.

    Good luck to all!

Re: How many pounds have you lost?

Well, when I first started Alli on this past April 21st, I weighed 261.
    As of August 25th, I weigh 203.

    That's a loss of 58 pounds, I think.  Haha.

Re: How many pounds have you lost?

I started Alli in mid January 2008 starting out at 218 lbs in a size 18W (and I'm also 5'2). As of this morning, I was at 169 (I was so excited to see the 160s!).  Originally, my goal had been to fit size 14 misses pant.  (and humorously, not to be able to tuck my napkin in under my stomach whenever I was eating dinner) However, I'm currently wearing a size 12 pant and 14 top (and no longer have that pocket to hold my napkin), so I think I'll just keep on going.  My weight loss has slowed down significantly in the past couple of months, but I'm okay with that.  I've never been a big fan of doing a lot of cardio, so I do the excersising I enjoy which is toning with free weights and walking.

The only frustrating piece of losing weight is seeing that my BMI is still in the obese range.  In order to be on the high end of "normal" I'd need to be at 136 or less which just doesn't seem realistic for me.  So, the new goal is the 140s or a size 8.

    Good luck with your journey!

Re: How many pounds have you lost?

Week five, doing everything I'm supposed to and I've lost 0, NONE, NO WEIGHT with Alli. It's very discouraging.

    I am highly favored !

Re: How many pounds have you lost?

I am following the Alli plan.  Eating Low fat Low calorie. Have added Sugar Free Jello with Lite whip cream into my diet snack..... I can have a nice bowl and not feel gulity because it is under 50 calories.  I have also been walking at least 2 miles daily.  I finished my 3rd week on ALLI and have begun my 4th week. I have now lost 9 lbs in 3 weeks. I am very satisfied with my results because I started dieting AGAIN in Feburary 2008 at 215 pounds and up until August 11th I had only lost 12 pounds in 6 months. I added ALLI into my diet and have dropped in 3 weeks what it took me 6 months without ALLI. So don't give up it works if you follow the plan.

Re: How many pounds have you lost?

     mwok2004,

I'm so glad to hear you're doing so well! I'm now down a total of  32.3lbs as of September 1st. My next weighin is on Monday and if my mid-week weighin holds up (I can't help but weigh more than once a week), I'll be down another 2lbs.

I'm getting really excited about being within 10lbs of my long term goal and possibly single digit jeans!!! Once those 10lbs are gone, I may rethink my long term goal. (My initial long term goal of 131, which I NEVER thought I would see, puts me just on the good side of a healthy BMI at 24.9)

I've gone from a very tight size 16 (I refused to buy a bigger size) to a VERY comfortable size 10 jean. I do have 2 pairs of brand new size 8's, but I'm holding off trying them on just yet!

Size 10 is a BIG accomplishment for me - I've been a size 12 to 14 most of my adult life, reaching size 16 after the birth of my youngest son 7 years ago.

While it's been a slow process (I've been on the Alli plan just over 5 months), I could not have done it without Alli. I know, I've tried dozens of times!

Anyone who has asked about my weight loss, I've been highly recommending Alli to them. I've become the local poster child for the plan, LOL!
