Lost some weight, now ready to exercise!

I lost 12 pounds and hit a plateau...so I went out and bought a 10 minute dance exercise tape. Is ten minutes 5 times a week good enough to get over this bump in the road? The tape has five 10 minute sections, I'm just starting out with exercising because before I lost this weight ( I still have quite a few pounds to go) I just didn't have the energy or motivation. I plan on doing more sections each session as I get more fit. I know it sounds bad, but I was winded after ten minutes. Even so, it felt great to move around!

     Hi Tessamess,

You are doing great!  Ten minutes five times per week is fine.  Right now the exercising you are doing is forcing you to work with a level of intensity that elevates your heart rate and that is going to help you burn calories and fat.  The longer you stick with your exercise program, the more difficult you are going to have to make you workouts to continue seeing results.

For now keep doing what you are doing.  After another week or two be sure to extend the amount of time you are exercising and or start to work with more intensity.

Keep up the good work and keep me posted.

    Good Luck,

    Paul

    Re: You can do it

You have to remember that if you still exercise and the scale is not showing the pounds you think you should be losing, you still are losing inches. I lost 104lbs before I started this diet and I was at a plateau for about 4 months. But I did not lose my will and In the end resultI went from  24 to a 14.Now I will try this diet because I would like to lose thritymore lbs before the winter let keep each other encourage. exercise at least 60 minutes a day for three days a week.
