     Hi.  I'm having quite a month.  I had a lovely vacation and tried to stick fairly close to the plan.  I was home for one night, than had to go out of state to see my mother.  She is in the midst of a major kitchen remodel and is trying to run her small business.  Hectic to say the least.  She really needs some reassurance with decisions plus extra labor to move the kitchen along.  I'm trying to eat well and I have been very active, but I have little computer access.  I won't be back to my routinue for another week.  I think I'll have to drop out of the challenge.  Sorry, but I'll look in on you when I can.

    Jane - I just wanted to say kudos to you  for keeping the ball rolling--that's real leadership and determination..  We evacuated to Natchitoches, LA  for "Gustav" and were gone for a week and two days.  I enjoyed being in this quaint little town with friends who bought a townhouse there after "Katrina" hit New Orleans.  I guess I'll be back in October--I've just been taking some time off.  I got the the Leslie Sansone "Walk Away the Pounds-Easy Walk (1 mile) and Brisk Walk (2 miles.)  I think it is a great way to exercise especially using the stretch band to tone up.  Do you think this is enough exercise to get into the October challenge??  I am curious about Carol Joy.  And, what happened to Carol?

    I haven't read all the posts but I'm sure you have lost a lot of weight.  Congrats.  Lynn

    Hope all of you are doing well.....wish me luck - heading to NYC and all that great food -- I promise to do my best to stay within the guidelines and choose wisely....and will be doing lots and lots of walking, so the exercise is a given.....its the cannolis in Little Italy I think I will have the most trouble with!

    hi everyone......I am in the middle of evacuating for IKE.......I have to go in to work and lock down and my family is going towards san antonio...I haven't been able to post.....computer still in shop...
