    Question about sandwhiches?

I take to work almost every day a sandwhic of 98% fat freev ham, cheese and mayo.D

Because i work part time we only get 15 minute break. So supper has to be fast or i have to wait till i get home ,which most nites is 930 to 1030pm.I dont like eating a lot at that time.Do any of you who take sandwhiches every day freeze them. I thoght i would make up the sandwhiches with just the ham and roll and freeze them then take the mayo and cheese to work and add them.have any of you done this and how does it unfreeze ok.

    Re: Question about sandwhiches?

Sandwiches are items that don't freeze particularly well.  There will be some water loss from the ham and/or cheese and that will make the bread very soggy when thawed.  Also the cheese will get a funny texture (as will the ham) from the water loss.

Soups, stews, and chili are items that freeze well.  If you're inclined to cook a big pot once in a while and then freeze in small containers, that's an easy light meal with little fuss.  You can microwave as needed, or leave in the fridge to defrost in the morning or night before.

    I hope this helps.
