    Long term use

I have been using ALLI for 1 year now- have lost 81 pounds, & have approxinately 20 more pounds to go to goal - but lately I have been on a plateau - partly because I have not been as disciplined as before.  But my real question is - does Alli lose its effectiveness after a certain length of time- should I continue taking it, or take a break from it and start over or discontinue altogether?

    Re: Long term use

Congratulations on your weight loss so far.  That's outstanding!

It sounds like you're in a slump...and that's not unusual after being with any endeavor for a while.  What needs to happen right now is to get re-energized.  Look at some of your old pictures, and really process - and appreciate - all the wonderful accomplishments you've made over the last year.

Then take pen to paper and make a list of all the other accomplishments you've achieved.  Whether it was painting the bathroom, cleaning out a closet, getting a raise etc. Write it down!

When you feel your enthusiasm return then you're ready to get back on track.

The decision about the capsules is up to you.  Alli always works to block 25% of the fat in the meal at whiche it's taken.  In addition, it is the safest weight loss medication ever...with over 100 clinical studies to support it.

I absolutely recommend that you start your Nutrition Log again and begin to keep track of everything you eat an drink + get out and get some activity too!!! :-)

I hope this helps.  Please let me know if you need anything else.
