My first time on the alli program, however must be about the 100th diet I've tried in my lifetime!

I find it kind of ironic that the one thing that I truely want almost more than anything is to lose weight so that I can feel healthy and energetic and comfortable in my own skin, but it's the one thing that is so difficult for me to obtain.  You'd think it would be easy.  Well, like my subject says, this must be the 100th time or more that I've started a weight loss program, but you know what's going to be different this time??  I am going to succeed this time!!!  Enough is enough!

Starting Weight 147  Current Weight 147  Goal Weight 125

I would also like nothing more than to be a thin healthy person, which I have never even been in my whole life. I want to feel good about myself and not feel like I have to hide myself and stay quiet.  I want this to be the time that  I take control and make a permanant change in my future and health. Good luck to you and hopefully good luck for me lol

ladies.... if you are looking to alli to be a "diet"  i am not sure that this is what you are looking for..alli is a lifestyle change .. it involves eating healthy, keeping track of what  you eat.., it involves excercise.. and basically it is a tool to get you healthy again and to stay at a healthy weight..you cannot go on the alli diet and lose however much weight you want and then go back to doing the things you were doing  that made you fat.. it isnt gonna work..... you will get fat again.. i have come to accept that in order to get to a healthy weight and to get myself in shape.. i need to eat right and excercise.. if i am going to maintain this when i get there,  i will need to continue the plan.. and since really the plan is very doable..i really dont think i will ever be fat again.. because i have learned to eat correctly.. to balance my fats, carbs protiens and learned what kind of fats are good and which ones to avoid.. i will have learned portion control.. and i will have learned that not only is excercise important in weight loss, it is important  to keep you healthy and in shape..i just want to add as a woman who never did excercise on a regular basis until the last year or so.. that even though i am 55 years old.. i have never been in this good of shape in my life..my stamina is amazing and i feel good..ok i will admit i still dont really love to go excerise..i ALWAYS feel better when i am done.. i think i have made it a part of my life now.. so for that i do need to thank the alli plan and all of the people on the message boards who helped me in the early days (you all know who you are)... good luck  to you.. post once in a while and let us know how you are doing... kathy

Well, at 147 I wouldn't call you fat, I think that weight is a matter of perception. Alot of people in here have their goal weight to what you weight starting out lol. Ive been on it for almost 2 weeks now and I've lost 3 lbs, if I can do this you can believe me!

    Keep positive!

Girls, MNJJJMom is my heroine around here.  She's a person who was there when I first started.  She has been around over the past three months to put things in perspective for me.  Yea Kathy for your success and thank you so much for helping me.

You can do this.  Join the forums below. Any of them.  All of them if you want to.  You can meet up with people like Kathy every single day.  People who answer questions, ease doubts, give you that pat on the back when nobody at home is necessarily doing it for you.

We're all in this together and we CAN do!

    Mary

Mary SW: 169.0 (6/18/08) CW: 141.0 # 28 down, 6 to go. Yea!  This is starting to sound really do-able! Goal: Size Perfect or 135 whichever comes first!
