Has anyone heard from Carol Joy - Kalola

I was just wondering if anyone had heard from Carol Joy.  I haven't seen any of her posts lately.  Is she OK?  Still on the wagon?

I, also, would like to know what happened to Carol Joy and why she's not posted.  I miss her.  Lynn

Re: Has anyone heard from Carol Joy - Kalola

Linda and Lynn -  There is a thread under personal experiences called "AAA."  Three people were posting to it: Carol, Carol Joy and Dana.  Carol Joy made a post on 8/11 that talked about computer problems and hasn't posted since.  Apparently, based on what Carol and Dana say in some posts (I didn't read the whole thing ... there's a lot of stuff!), Carol Joy was going to move her Mother in Law and they speculate that that's why she stopped posting.  Carol and Dana also agreed to stop posting to the thread as of September 11 ... so the Carol and Carol Joy mysteries are partly solved. - Jane

Hi Jane!  Thank you for the info on Carol Joy and Carol.  It was so nice of you to take the time to check it out.  Hope you are well.  I don't know if you read in any of the posts--I started using Leslie Sansone's 2 mi walking tape last week.  It really gets me going in the morning.  Just started back with the Alli pills (with high hopes.)  I've seen a pain specialist and he has made out a plan for me to meet with a  pt and ot for an exercise plan for me and he is also going to put me on some different meds.  Thanks again!  Lynn

    Attention: Lynn

    Hi Lynn -

I've been through more than my share of pt and ot (my insurance won't pay for anymore ot for me and I'm glad they still cover pt for me!).  I always finds that it helps me.  Doing what they tell me to do, even if I have to start out slow or with fewer repetition, always helps me, too.  I hope the rest of the pain management treatment also helps you.

Several people are posting about the Leslie Sansome tapes so they must be quite helpful.  I'm glad you have them and that they're helping you!  In a couple of weeks your New Orleans weather, like my weather here in SW Florida, will be really nice for walking.  With my messed up ankle, walking doesn't help my cardiovascular exercise that much, but just getting out for a stroll when the weather is nice is still enjoyable.  Hopefully, we'll be on the same challenge in October.

    Re: Attention: Lynn

Jane - Like you, I'm looking forward to that cool weather.  Just getting out for a stroll when the weather is nice is soooo enjoyable.  In fact, today was a great day--dry and a tinge of coolness in the air.  We've had our share of storms recently and when we get good weather we really celebrate it.  Can't wait to hurricane season is over.  My brother lives in Houston and he says it is a real mess.  They might not have electricity for 3 to 4 weeks.

Went to my yoga class today and we did some stretches that I just couldn't do--too stiff and sore.  Can't wait to meet with the doctor again and get the wheels in motion to help with my musculoskeletal problems.

Yipes!!!  I just found out we are not going to have water tomorrow from 8 am to 5 pm.  I guess I'm just going to have to get up and run my hot bath water tomorrow morning at 7:30 am so that I will still be able to do my Sansone walking regiment at around 8 or 8:30 am.  Where there's a will, there's a way!

I will be looking for you and the challenge in October.  Lynn

    Re: Attention: Lynn

    Hi everyone,

Ditto here for anticipating FALL.  It's my favorite season of the year, always has been.  I moved across country earlier this year and can't wait to see the leaves change.  That's probably true about the electricity in Houston.  In Fla, it was 2-4 weeks before everyone had their electric back after the hurricanes.  Robaxin is a great muscle relaxant with few side effects, ask your doctor about it if you're interested.  Tampabayb
