Do you have a winter wedding to get in shape for?

If so, ladies and gents, you can trim inches and pounds with Alli and be in that size Perfect!  I just passed the 20 pound marker and wanted to give anyone new here a bit of encouragement.

Today is September 15, 2008.  I started the Alli plan on June 18, 2008.

    Stats:

    SW 169

    CW 149

    Twenty pounds gone!

    How about inches?

On July 4 I measured 40.5 inches at the waist and 43 inches around the fattest part of my belly.

Today?  34 inches at the waist and 38 inches at the fattest part of my belly.

Three, short months with such amazing results!

I am 56 years young and have been on every diet plan imaginable.  My weight was up down, up down.  This is the very first time I've had such positive results in such a short time.  If I can do this, you can too!

Last Friday, I tried on a pair of jeans that I have not worn since I weighed 135.  At 149 they actually fit!  What does that tell you?  It tells you I'm so much leaner now, even though I weigh 14 lbs more than I did when I last wore those treasured jeans.

If you need to look great by Christmas, there is still time.  If you need to look absolutely FABULOUS by Valentine's Day, you will!

Frankly, I could not have done this without the wonderful support from the Alli Dieticians Board and the friends I've made in my age group and # of pounds group posting sections you'll find here.  We're all in this together and you will find such wonderful, helpful people here!

Join in, drop it, lose it, do it, make Alli a part of your day, every day!

    Mary

     Thank you Betty.

Without input from you and Pat Baird and Sophia, and all of the wonderful friends I've met here, I may have gone the road of "oh I can't do this".

So many of us get so little support from husbands or friends, the support here is oh so helpful.

Re: Do you have a winter wedding to get in shape for?

    Hi Mary,

It is unfortunate to not able to get support from family and friends, but someone who has never struggled with this or who has their own issues with their weight may not be able to give the support that you need. This board is the perfect place to find people who do get it and who will support you through this. You can try posting this message on the personal experiences board to see if there is anyone with an upcoming wedding. If I remember correctly, there is a group discussing this on there already. You can use the search command on the upper right corner to find any posts about weddings.

I wish you lots of continued success,

    Betty Kovacs, MS, RD
