Calorie gap and new diet plan

     Hi,

I was wondering if you can give me some help. I am in Alli nextphase and my calorie gap is 279.  I have decided to cut my calories by that much as my exercise is good.  I am going from an 1800 cal plan down to a 1500-1600 cals a day. So how should I distribute those cals, as far as breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks?  I was given a suggestion for 1800 but I am not sure about how to do it now, cann you offer me a few suggestions please?

    Stephanie

Stephanie sw 221 lbs (2/11/08) cw 185 lbs (11/30/08)  gw 170 lbs.  Look out 180 here I come!!

     Hopefully 180 by Christmas!! :-))

Re: Calorie gap and new diet plan

I'd suggest you go to 1,600 first.  That way you should feel fairly comfortable as far as your hunger level is concerned...rather than take the chance of not being satisfied and going over.

If you look in the Healthy Eating Guide included in the Starter Kit there are some Sample Menus for the 1,600 calorie level for you to get an idea of how to distribute your calories throughout the day -- whether you make your own menus or follow the Samples.

You might also take a look at the chart of Exchanges on p. 20 of the same booklet.  It lists the amount of servings, from each food group, at each calorie level.  Some people (especially if they were on the old WW plan) find counting exchanges easier.  There is a listing of the Exchange groups in section 5 of the booklet too.

Please let me know if you need anything else.

Thanks Pat. I will get out my Healthy Eating Guide and take a look.  I will also do as you suggested and drop to 1600 cals first.
