    How is the Alli plan working for me?

     Alli has been working great for me. It hasn't been only because of the pills. It is also because of the low calorie and low fat diet and my determination to stick with the program. Alli.com has been my support also. It helps me a lot to check in every week. I'm still trying to figure out how to talk to other people in the allicircles. I haven't been able to get thru to anyone or maybe I just don't know how to usde that area. Anyway, I'll keep trying.

     Hi!  It looks like you found out how to post to the message boards, and basically that's how you communicate with the members.  There is a lot of support here and many areas of the boards to check out, lots of advice and encouragement too.  I am glad the Alli program is working for you.  It does take a lot of motivation, determination and will power on your part, and Alli helps a lot too.  Stick with it!  You make the final choice each day on what you eat.  In the end, that can help or hinder your weight loss outcome.

    Hi nfulton4,

    Congratulations on the results you are getting from alli and the alli program.  Motivation and commitment  are key to getting you to your goal.  With alli circles, you need to invite people to join your circle or to be invited after reading their profiles.

    Re: How is the Alli plan working for me?

    I've been using taking the Alli pill for 3 days and have not had a BM.  Now, I'm not normally a "regular" person, but I thought I would have gone at least once by now.  And I'm taking them for breakfast, lunch and dinner and there is fat in my meals.  I'm wondering why I'm not elimating the 25%.  I'm still encouraged and am looking forward to my weigh in on Monday.  Is there anything additional that I need to do.  A typical breakfast for me is:

    2 low fat waffles (160/3)

    3 turkey sausages (110/7)

    1/4 cup syrup (100/0)

    Total 370/10 (my allowance is 400/12)

    My lunch and dinner are close to the allowances at well.

     Hi,

    Alli is still blocking 25% of the fat, even if you do not have a bowel movement.  You mentioned that you are not regular, your GI tract is getting accustomed to the dietary and digestive changes.  Give it a few days.   To keep yourself well hydrated and increase the consumption of fiber (whole grains, vegetables anf fruits), which to aid in making BMs regular.

    Hope this helps,

    Thanks for responding.  That is good to know as I thought when the fat was blocked it was automatically eliminated, so I appreciate the education.

    I  lost 4 pounds last week.  Yay!

     I'm glad you asked because I was wondering the same thing.  I wanted to respond to your post so you knew you weren't alone.  Keep up the good work.  In the end I think it will show we've done something good for ourselves.

    Re: How is the Alli plan working for me?

     The alli plan seems to be working for me.   What keeps me in check is logging my meals into myalli. com plan.  Not only does it keep you in check for calories and fat but also you can tell what you need to add more of (Me dietary fiber and carbs) and what you are getting way to much of (sodium)

    Actual Target
    Calories 1,090 1200
    Calories from Fat 280 350
    Total Fat 31 g 39g
    Saturated Fat 8 g <= 13g
    Cholesterol 155 mg < 300mg
    Sodium 2,630 mg < 2400mg
    Total Carbohydrate 127 g 135 - 195g
    Dietary Fiber 5 g >= 25g
    Protein 72 g 30 - 105g
    Vitamin A * *
    Vitamin C 20% 100%
    Calcium 70% 100%
    Iron 40% 100%
    Water 64oz *

    I think it is great so far
