Getting ready to start! Would LOVE advice and success stories :)

Hello everyone :) I have bought my Alli and I am going to start my three day diet tomorrow and my Alli pills Friday :) Did anyone not do the three days??

I am so excited!!! I want to lose about 30lbs and I feel so excited and motivated. I have read some great success stories but the only thing I am worried about is the treatment effects... I have plans to and the will to not eat the fat but I still worry I will have an accident...thats all I need... poop mu pants!

Any advice anyone wants to give I would greatly appreciate it! Success stories are always helpful as well!

     Hi

My name is Kim and I just started the diet and the pills on Oct 5th. Didn't do the diet first and dove in feet first! Through reading alot of posts I realized I have to eat the 1400 calories and 45 g's of fat in order to lose and I am having a hard time eating that much and tend to be at 1050 per day and one day I was at 38.88 g's of fat and then 18 g's of fat. Did better today as I made it to 1260 calories but only 25 g's of fat which is probably ok being as I didn't make it to 1400 calories. So maybe I should have tried the diet before hand but live and learn! My first weigh in is Oct 13th and excited to see what happens. No treatment effects for me but like I said I have kept my fat g's low, too low, so it seems as long as you keep the fat at your reccommended target you shouldn't have any TE's! Best of luck to you both and weightloss dust is coming your way!

    hugs Kim

because I enjoy it! I have 15 pounds to go until I reach my goal now......... Alli is teriffic!!

I am 5'3 and weigh 161!!! I want to get to 130 and see how I feel from there, maybe I will go to 120-125... If i drop as fast as you I will be at my goal on a few months!

    Hello,

I am on the same path as you...started monday with out dieting first.  I am either all or nothing so i dove in feet first.  I am trying to keep with in the calorie and fat limits but I am falling under them a little bit also. So far no TE which I am very thankful for.  I am 5'7 174 and my brother is getting married next year so I want to be back to my good wieght 145.  I am athletic so I will never be a skinny minnie but i want to be a close as possible.  That is great about your boyfriend supporting you. I wish mine was that helpful he is just along for the ride and doesnt care either way.  Good Luck let me know how things are going...and any words of wisdom is always appreciated.

Re: Getting ready to start! Would LOVE advice and success stories :)

Hi ataylor and everyone else who is just starting.  Congratulations on taking a very big, life-changing step.  I have been on this program for 16 months and hope I can help encourage you to stick with it.  I read many posts from people who haven't lost any weight in the first month or so and are ready to throw in the towel.   Weight loss is not the same for everybody, it seems the more overweight you are, the faster you lose it in the beginning.  If you are only 20 or 25 pounds overweight, it seems to come off slower.  I don't know why this is, I'm sure Betty can explain it.  So don't get discouraged, the changes you are making are healthy ones, if nothing else happens, that's a good thing.  I seldom take alli now, only when I go way over my fat grams, but you learn how to eat right so that eventually you will not need alli.  The T.E.s scare some people away, but I have never let them control me.  I know if I go over my fat grams and take an alli that 24 to 72 hours later I may or may not have oil problems, but you get some warning from your tummy and you just head for the bathroom, or wear a pad for a couple of days.  It's all do-able, so do it.  I've lost 55 pounds, most of it during the first 6 months, but continue to lose maybe a pound a month.  It will become easier as you go along, so please don't give up.  Keep coming back to the board for support, it has been key for me.

Re: Getting ready to start! Would LOVE advice and success stories :)

Hello!! I did do the three day diet to get myself use to everything. I've always measure my food, so I didn't really think it was necessary but I did it anyway. this is my second time really trying alli....So I'm hoping it will work. The first time I just couldn't stick to anything and rarely took my pill. This time I'm motivated and my husband is also doing it as well. So it makes for a better day to know he is doing it too....

I'm 5'1 and my starting weight was 163, so I hope to get down to 130 and will see how that feels. So good luck to us both......
