What a great tip about the butter!!  I pre-package food for myself, and usually "wing it" when it comes to the speadables!! Butter, jelly ect.  I haven't had an TE's, so I must be winging it O.K., but, stil your idea is much better than what I have been doing!!

Re: What I have ate for breakfast and lost 22lbs in 9 weeks!

I just started today but I tried the Citrus Salmon over the weekend and even my 10 yr old son loved it!  This morning was steamed mushrooms and fresh spinach with 1/3 cup of egg beaters and a cup of Chamomile tea.  I am going to go get some spray butter and some WW bread and english muffins today.  Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on how you look at it) I have a horrible sore throat and I can't swallow too well.  I have chicken breasts planned for dinner with brown rice and brocolli, I have a grill pan (until I get my grill next month) and I am gonna do grilled with BBQ sauce on them, they are really small (unusual for these from a bag) so I am gonna flatten them out to make them look bigger too.  For lunch, probably just a salad.

Thanks for your breakfast suggestions.  They sound great especially the Jimmy Dean link sausage part.

I happen to love sausage and wondered how I would work it in so thanks so much.  I'm in the program for only 5 days so your suggestions were really helpful.  It's too soon to know how I'm doing but all the helpful suggestions are great.

Amanda, that sounds awesome!  I think I'm going to try that!  I usually have just 1/2 c cereal (Fiber One) and 1/2 c fat free plain yogurt.  That sounds soooo much better.  Thanks for your post!

Re: What I have ate for breakfast and lost 22lbs in 9 weeks!

Those are some great tips! I have one to add:

Low fat cottage cheese with fruit.  Personally, i hate the taste of cottage cheese, but if you mix it half  and half with some low fat/no fat yogurt (vanilla bean is my favorite), it's a lot easier to swallow.

The protein from the low fat cottage cheese keeps me full for hours, and the fruit with flavored yogurt is enough to keep my sweet tooth happy for a while too!

Re: What I have ate for breakfast and lost 22lbs in 9 weeks!

I eat a fair amount of low fat cottage cheese as well.  My husband is not crazy about it but he does it to support me.  My 2 year old loves it!  My husband puts a spoonful of splenda in his and he says it is much better.  Different brands make a difference thought.  Knudsens low fat is good.  So is the low fat cottage cheese sold at Aldi's grocery stores.  It also makes a great substitute in recipes.

    Good luck!

Re: What I have ate for breakfast and lost 22lbs in 9 weeks!

Hi I am new to the program and very anxious to loose 50 pounds.   I wonder if we could fix like a breakfast tortillia with the egg beaters, onion, some seasoning and maye a bit of Salsa??    Think that would be ok to do?    I think the wheat tortilla has fewer fat and calori grams.   Any comments?   Oh!   And I am 70, but a very active gal and worry if after I loose the 50 pounds what will happen to my appearance of MORE wrinkles??   What do i do?

I think that would be fine to have....I have actually made something similar to that before but I added some turkey pepperoni and lowfat mozzarella cheese to it.  It was actually pretty good!

Besided tortillas you can use this product I found...It's a flatbread that is 100% whole grain, 90 cals, 2.5 grams of fat and 9 grams of fiber!  I use these all the time to make turkey wraps and they are yummy and lower in fat and cals than most tortillas I have seen.  I will look at work today online and see if I cant find the product name and send it to you.
