HAVE HAD ALLI PILLS FOR 2 MONTHS... FINALLY STARTING TOMORROW...

I've had the Alli pills for almost two months now.. i've been so skeptical to try it out.. worried about the side effects, about disrupting my busy lifestyle.. im also afraid of losing the weight on the pills than becoming dependent on them to keep the weight off... but i've finally made up my mind and am going to start taking them tomorrow. I'm really hoping and praying that all my fears wont be confirmed. If anyone would care to share their story with me, i'd greatly appreciate it. Some encouraging stories would be nice.. thanks =)

Re: HAVE HAD ALLI PILLS FOR 2 MONTHS... FINALLY STARTING TOMORROW...

     Hi

I too was worried about starting Alli but Ive just done my first week and lost 5lb.I was worried about treatment effects but have stuck to the fat gram guidelines and been fine.

The fear of TEs gives me the willpower to stick to the diet and although I know its early days I really think that in Alli I have found an eating plan I can stick with.I feel healthier and am more aware of what I put in my mouth.

The message boards are great support and its so good to have experts on hand to answer queries.

Good luck and let me know how you get on,

    Carole

    Hi Evitarivera,

Did you begin taking alli yet? There are lots of great stories on this board and the real alli stories board. Take a look at them if you need to read some success stories.

Let me know how it's going,

Re: HAVE HAD ALLI PILLS FOR 2 MONTHS... FINALLY STARTING TOMORROW...

Wow, nice to find someone else that has had a hard time getting started.

I keep changing my start date just because everything isn't perfect. I will set the date to start my low-fat/low-calorie diet and usualy I get started on the diet but before I get through the three days or more (before starting alli), something always seems to happen so that I just put off the date and decide to try again later. Usually, its because I break down and go off the low-fat and then I'm afraid of experiencing side effects when I do start the pills.

This also makes me worry that when I do get started on the pills that I won't be able to stick to it... and I don't want to go on and off after starting.

I really, really want to start losing weight and I'm hoping that the fear of the side effects will keep me in line after I start alli... I think I just need some encouragement. That's why I've come here.

     Hi evitarivera,

I can relate to you. I had a bottle of Alli for a couple of months, I let them expire:). However I just started tking a new bottle last night and am very excited.

    Good luck:)

I'm just taking it one day at a time. It's not a sprint, it's a marathon

Re: HAVE HAD ALLI PILLS FOR 2 MONTHS... FINALLY STARTING TOMORROW...

You have come to the right place for support and encouragement, after all we all have a goal of losing weight.

I have yo-yo dieted for so many years and have never been able to stick to a low fat diet without being hungry, which in turn has lead me to give in to the cravings for chocolate and cookies.

Ive been on Alli for just over 2 weeks and have not been hungry between meals, have had no cravings and the result is awesome, 9lbs lost. This has never happened to me before as i usually struggle to drop a couple of lbs.

The fear of TEs keeps me in control of what I eat and I feel so much better about myself as well as having more energy, while at the same time I havent felt deprived,

Good luck as you commence your journey and check in often with your progress.

Re: HAVE HAD ALLI PILLS FOR 2 MONTHS... FINALLY STARTING TOMORROW...

On the one hand I also want to start taking alli because I really want to lose some weight but on the other hand I am afraid of starting. Besides this recently I ordered flexeril online which is a muscle relaxant. Due to my back pain I must take these pills but now I am not quite sure if it is a good idea to take the two meds together. Does anyone know if it is okay to take the two meds together? Would appreciate useful information. Thanks in advance.

    HI Ashleytem,

I do not think that there will be any problem with you taking the two meds together. Just to be sure I recommend that you post this question on the pharmacist's board. You'll find it under the "discuss alli with one of our specialists" section.

    Good luck,
