Well as a man, I would make for an incredibly ugly lady and even Alli wouldn't help, but because a dear friend of mine has had cancer in which the treatments and steroids has almost killed him, I have an intimate interest in candida albicans. I have spent at least a hundred hours studying this problem and call tell you that Betty is right on with her advise. While I realize that eight or so of you have the same problem, I would seriously doubt it would have a connection with Alli itself but more with perhaps the change in diet.
What Betty has said makes perfect sense. You need to look at what you are mainly eating and try to determine if you are somehow eating an acid diet. Acid foods, such as nearly anything white, cheeses, vigegars, sugars, etc., feed candida. So try to look at the alkaline foods that you can eat, and that you like, and try to do some substituting. And the suggestion to try to use a pro-biotic such as is in fresh yogurt, really is super. And yogurt is so good for you women's bones as it is the best source of dietary calcium that I know of and far better than milk or most supplements. My recipe for eating homemade, inexpensive yogurt is in the snack section of the messages. I kid you not. I eat a gallon of it a week and cannot get enough. I eat it with low sugar jams.
I too am a little curious as to why the problem, since most foods that are considered healthy are far from the white foods, but bear in mind that there are many acid foods that are not white. I doubt if anything I have said helps but at least for most of us (men included) candida is easy and fairly inexpensive to knock out. Good luck everyone. Jim
