    Re: January Starters

    Hi Everybody!

Glad you are all still here. I am back on the program and looking forward to sticking with it! I've lost 1 lb. in the last week. I didn't exercise at all, so I'm hoping to lose more this week. It is very hard to get back to exercising. I really don't know why. I have resigned myself to do it today though. Every day I put off is a day I didn't get closer to my goal. I hope I'll have a good weight loss next week.

I'm glad to see you are all still here and doing well. Keep up the good work!

    wwwgolfnut:

50 pounds and holding  was a good week, no loss and no no gain. I know things are moving around though. I am in 7 notches on my belt and the 38's are fitting looser too. It is not always about the weight loss. I am very happy with my progress since new years day. I am still motivated and ready to shed the rest. WHen it happens it happens. Hope everyone else is still hanging in there and seeing positive results.

So true!  We want the weight to fall off, or at least I'd like to wake up tomorrow looking like I "see myself in my mind"...LOL!

The greatest benefits I have had from this lifestyle change are more about my health.  My doc has taken me off several meds, I feel better, I can actually move again (though not like when I was a teen), and did I mention that ....................... I FEEL BETTER !!

I've been looking at family photos and at 52 years old I am healthier and look younger than my mother did at my age.

You are an inspiration and I enjoy reading about your success.

    Re: January Starters

I'm just reaching the 45lb mark and very happy with the weight lost.  I did plateau out for over a month and restarted the plan a week ago which helped, plus went back to tracking every thing I consume on fitday.com which really helps.  I'm still working out the correct balance of carbs, proteins and fats to take (see the carbs thread on personal experiences) but over all I use alli as a tool to keep me honest.  Threat of public humiliation (boom booms in public) is a great deterrant!

I am glad to read of other Jan starters that are still hanging in there and would like to hear from more of you , how much you've lost, if you've had to get remotivated, etc.  I hope to be where I want to be by xmas!  take care, Kimberly

    Re: January Starters

Way to go Grizzly! 45lbs. is awesome! Keep up the good work.

I had a breakthrough last night. I got myself back on the Wii Fit. HOORAY! Although, I was a bit ashamed of myself because it tells you how long it has been since you were on it........not good! :( It points out how much time I lost by being off the program. But I am happy to be back on track.

I need to try fitday.com. I am tracking what I eat on the alli meal plan. It makes a big difference to look at exactly what you are eating. Thanks for the tip I will check it out.

Glad everyone is still here. Keep checking in!

    Re: January Starters

still holding at 54 need to kick up the exercise again. golf alone is not doing. I have to admit this is the best i have golfed in years. I am walking 18 holes and carrying my clubs too. but i am going to start walking the hills with half of the weight i lost, getting ready for hunting season.it will be so different from last year i am looking forward to the hikes up and down and not just on the old abandoned logging roads.
