I would love to have a 10 pound wait loss - It's been 2 months and I have only lost 4 pounds. I have not had any treatment effects (which I am certainly not complaining about LOL) - but it makes me wonder if alli is really working for me. I had a pretty decent diet before alli, just had issues with late night eating on occassion. I am almost 42, possibly perimenapausal and have found that my weight gain and fatigue went hand in hand just in the last year.
I am about 20 pounds overweight and find that my heavier friends have zero sympathy for what they consider "nothing to worry" about. I am not a whiner and truly never talk about my weight gain in front of my friends, I just struggle in private and try to find a way to help myself (alli being the latest think I have tried). One point that I would like to make on this message board, is that if we just ignore the first 20 pounds, the next 20 are on the way.
There is nothing wrong with a proactive approach and a positive attitude for a new way of living.
I am encouraged and hope to see some changes soon. I feel so awful and can't seem to shed much weight or this fatigue. I am beginning to think it is hormonal and that I should focus on treatment in that area vs. alli.
