I'm hoping to start a thread for vegan recipes. My contribution today is a breakfast shake:
1 cup soymilk
1 tablespoon flaxseeds (ground in a coffee mill or pre-ground)
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 medium bananna
1/2 tbl. peanut butter
Put all in blender and wiz till smooth. Yummy and filling. About 315 calories and 12 grams of fat.
This is a wonderful idea! I hope you get lots of recipes. I'm also going to mention it on the Dietitians Message Board as I often get requests from vegans.
Good luck!

Hi,
will you take some not - so - original recipes?
I have come across some amazing cookbook recipes that I would love to share.
I make this a lot except I peel the banana, cut it and stick it in the freezer in a ziplock bag. When you use the frozen banana it gives the shake some real thickness and consistency and is almost milk shake like! My husband even loves this for breakfast in the morning. If you want to make a little lighter just skip the peanut butter and is just as good!

It's fine to contribute recipes from cookbooks, magazines, etc. It's a good idea to credit the original source of the recipe.

I'm not vegan, but I am vegetarian. I'd love to participate in a veggie thread.
