Re: 3rd Week on ALLI & feeling a bit disappointed

I don't have a (or want) scale, so I can't do the check-ins yet. I refused to buy one when I started for the reasons posted here... it's just so discouraging. However, i've been on Alli since June 4th and haven't yet noticed a big difference in how I feel or how my clothes fit, even though I'm following as closely as I can and have cut a whole lot out of my diet. Family has had steak 5-6 times since I started, and I've had to replace it with something else because theres just too much freaking fat in a tiny amount, it's crazy. I haven't had real butter and very little oil. No chips, etc etc. I use my stationairy bike for 30 minutes everyday. It's starting to get too hot for this, it's 106 outside right now and my room is still so hot even with the air on. I still feel "bad" all the time. I'm just so tired and sleeping all day. I'll get up, and just be too tired, and go back to sleep. I have been taking my multi vitamin, I just wish this at LEAST would go away. I have had problems waking up/going to sleep for years, and I was just really hoping exersice and diet would help it, and it just hasn't yet, nor have i noticed a difference in my clothing. Sigh. This week is going to be very very hard, I am so discouraged today. I don't want to stop, but i'll have serious reservations about buying another bottle if I don't notice a bit of difference by the end of it.

Re: 3rd Week on ALLI & feeling a bit disappointed

Don't give up. I lost 35 lbs in the first 6 months and I still ate what everyone else did at night time for dinner except I ate smaller portions. I use a scale for the meat- around 3-4 ounces depending on what it is. If it is fish I eat more. Any starches I usually have 3-4 oz also and vegs if not a starchy one I eat whatever I want.

Give up soda- even diet blows you up. Drink Crystal light or flavoried waters. Have a cup of tea or coffee.

This morning I had a yogurt with 1/4 cup of granola, I happen to love it so I had the same thnk for lunch.. I had a peach around 3pm that the time I ususally get hungry at work. Like tonight I had 4 oz of a breaded fried pork chop, 4 oz of noodles and mixed vegs. I eat one snack at night , around 8 pm -usually a 100 cal chocolate Healthy choice fudge pop.

Don't give up on the snacks and make sure you eat 3 times a day. When  skip meals I usually don't lose.

Re: 3rd Week on ALLI & feeling a bit disappointed

I lost 10 lbs the firs week on Alli then 2 the beginning of the second week and gained 2 by the end of the second week. I am on my way to my fourth week and have only lost 1 more lb. It is so frustrating to feel that i am doing these things for a reason but the reason isnt happening! I am finally adding exercise into my diet so I hope that will help!! Anyways I see the scale go down but then it goes right back up so I have decided to weigh only on my check in day!! I just always remember some weight loss is better than no weight loss!! Keep up the good work everyone and Congratulations on yalls weight loss!!!

    Kels!!

Re: 3rd Week on ALLI & feeling a bit disappointed

I think I only lost about 5 or 6 lbs total on my first bottle but I was determined to keep going because every other diet I have tried in the past 7 years had failed miserably and at least I wasn't gaining it back on this one!  I started noticing a difference about halfway through the 2nd bottle and it really did get easier as my stomach started adjusting to the smaller, healthier meals.  I am now on my 3rd bottle and dropping an average of 1/2 lb per week - I now only have 10 lbs to go to reach a weight I can be content with and 15 to go to meet my goal weight.

Re: 3rd Week on ALLI & feeling a bit disappointed

On my 3rd week too and between all three weeks I've only lost 10lbs. But Im okay with that because I know I am doing whats best for my body. I do my check ins, but I dont look at the scale at any other time. I focus on doing the plan and being sure that I take my pills and eat correctly. I know its frustrating but keep the faith. You've got a whole board pulling for you to succeed.

    Here's a big hug!!!
