    New Meal Plan Tools Help

    We understand and appreciate the frustrations many of you have had with some of the new myalliplan tools, and we apologize for the inconvenience. 

    Here are some tips and tricks to navigating your way through the new Meal Plan tools.

    Building new favorite meals

    Go to ‘My Favorite Meals’ and click on the ‘Build a new Favorite Meal’ link. After entering the information, select the “save” button to have it added to your favorites.

    Editing favorite meals you’ve created
    Go to “My Favorite Meals” and click on the name of your item. There will be a button to “Edit Recipe.” After you enter the new information, select “save” to update it.

    Deleting favorite meals you’ve created
    Go to “My Favorite Meals.” To the right of your item, there will be a “Delete” icon. Click on the icon to have the meal removed from the list.

    Adding an item to your meal plan (under Current Week’s Plan)
    To add an item, select the "+add" button next to the item. You can then select to add additional items, or select the "I'm done adding" button to go back your meal plan.

    You can also use the Drag and Drop feature to add items. Drag and Drop only works in the ‘Add Item’ window. You select the item (hold left mouse button down) in the ‘Add Item’ window (it will highlight yellow) then drag it over the meal occasion that you would like to add it to, the meal occasion will also highlight yellow, then release the mouse button to place the item.

    Finding previously entered meals you’ve created
    All previously added items are now under ‘My Favorite Meals’.

    Logging in nutritional info
    The meal plan now assumes that what is listed is what is eaten. No need to log or confirm what you ate. All you have to do is make sure the meal plan for the day reflects your intake and you are good to go. So use the delete and add item functions to edit the meal plan. The nutritional information will update automatically.

    Alphabetizing favorite items
    Just click on the heading title to organize. So if you click ‘meal’ it orders them alphabetically. When you click ‘calories’ it orders low to high, click again and it orders them high to low. Click ‘Favorite’ and it will place your favorites at the top, click it again and they move to the bottom.

    As we continue to iron out any remaining kinks, we will add updates to these instructions. We will also post notifications as we prepare to implement upgrades.  Again, we thank you for your patience and feedback and apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you.
