hi janet... i think that it may work really great for you..after having an introductory lesson..i came to the conclusion that if you do NOT suffer from arthritis..it would be great.. however my left thumb/wrist joint is very flared up and i just cannot get a grip on them without causing a lot more pain.. also my rt hip was really flared up at the time and the workout was just to painful for me.. BUT if your joints are in good shape i think it would be a GREAT workout.. and there were people in that class that had really gotten in shape..so see how it works for you..good luck.kathy
