100 to lose and Starting..what is the max someone has lost to date using Alli

I am finally taking a step I should of taken a long time ago before I let myself get back to a point of where I was at back in 2000, it is hard to believe how I made a promise to myself back in 2001 that would never weigh over 165lbs...well here it is 2009 and I am back up to 264. I know this isnt going to be easy at all.  My goal is to drop 100lbs, and go from a current 46 waist back down to at least a 36 waist...Anyone have any words of wisdom that I may or maynot already know or need.

Are there any actual community circles that meet up as support groups. I am in the metro St Louis area (Edwardsville IL).

This is a last step effort to get my lifestyle under control withour utilizing the assistance of any invasive type procedure.

Thanks and looks forward to other words of wisdom and guidance.

    Steve!!

Re: 100 to lose and Starting..what is the max someone has lost to date using Alli

Welcome Steve.  I have been on the plan since new years day. I have lost 34 pounds so far and have 50 to go. This is long journey and i am really commited to making permanent changes for the better. Look at the plan and review the meal plans. Plan out your meals and stick to it or mix it up as long as your stay within your daily amounts. Kick in a exercise routine  and start off slow and use the logs that are provided. Check in with the crew here and we can all relate to what your going though and how your feeling. Feel free to come in the 200 club and you will find lots of support from the guys here. You are here so you want to make a change and it is the first step in getting to your goal. You can do it, set small short term goals for yourself it makes it seem closer and the final goal not so far away.

     Steve,

I have lost 60 lbs. and my goal is losing 125 lbs. Even when I get to my goal, I will have more to loose to get to a healthy weight. I will not be the first to tell you that it is not easy. There have been many days that I have wanted to give up, but luckily the scale has been good to me. I have had one bad week, but other then that; the amount of weight I have lost has kept me motivated. Also, fitting into clothes and buy new smaller clothes is a great motivation tool as well. My advice is just don't give up. You will have some bad weeks, but keep to it and the next week will get better. Good Luck.

     Hi Steve,

I started alli 2 weeks ago, I weighed 320, wanna get down to 210, today I just hit 310. Its a long haul for me, all this started with a cancer when I was 28... I 47 now, 3 knee surgeries in 10 years, just got both replaced last august, now I've got the tools I need to get this weight thing under control. I track EVERYTHING I eat in Excel, and through formulas project due dates for each 10 lbs I'll loose up to 210 lbs. Each time I pass a threshold I have one fewer in front of me and one more behnd me.... good feeling.  I eat a cup of healthy cereal with a cup of 1% milk in the am, a lean cuisine with water for lunch and as healthy a dinner as I can have.. ie pasta in red sauce, 1 grilled chicken breast with chili powder and tabasco with steamed spinach, turkey wraps with fat free wraps, ff dressing, low fat swiss, tabasco..... so far I'm still very gung hoe. hang in there!

i too use chili powder in my food. it flavors it up and makes it hot and my tongue gets on fire making it so i don't want to overeat. well, not on fire but close. i need to get some tabasco too; i used to use that when i was on weight watchers; it's almost like the hot thing with the chili powder.

u all keep up the grt work.

Daniel you sound like you are on very few calories for your size. There have been studies to suggest some eggs in the AM can help with hunger and aid in weight loss. A little oatmeal might be a great idea. Since you skip breakfast and eat a small lunch, you have very little calorie intake. In fact you might be on so few cals that your body will try and retain the body fat you have. I suggest some weight training and to breakup the exercise into some differnet things. The walking is good but the body adapts to the same thing and you want major results. Keep up the great work!

    Rob
