i am 41 yrs old,a granny of 2,mother of 3daughters i am very blessed but, i am bigger than i have ever been and can't seem to loose it.i just quit smoking also.i was 130 lbs.even after my kids and than had hysterectomy gained weight,than lost it when walked everyday than i took some med doc gave me I GAINED 40 LBS AND HAVEN'T BEEN ABLE TO LOOSE IT SINCE.i hgope there are others like me cuz i need support and freinds.i want to be able to eun,swim,and just play with grandkids and when i look in mirror SMILE!!!!  hope to talk to yall later.

Quitting smoking is the hardest thing you have encountered, if you did this you will be able to lose the weight.

There is no reason why you can not do all the things that you envision yourself doing.  Just take it one day at a time.  You have accomplished so much to date, this will be one more.

 Hey there proud granny!  Welcome to the Alli program and the message boards.  I have been on Alli for 2 weeks now and I have found oodles of support & encouragement here.  Take your time and scan the message boards.  You will find lots of women on here who know exactly what you are going through.  Congrats on quitting smoking.  I don't know that I would have ever had the willpower to stop something so addictive.  Together we can lose the weight and enjoy our grandchildren for many, many years to come.

SOUNDS GREAT I WANT TO BE AROUND FOR A LONG TIME FOR THEM.I MADE MY EVERY 10 LBS. LOST REWARD LIST TODAY AND ENTRIES IN MY JOURNAL FOR MYSELF OF REASONS TO LOOSE THE WEIGHT AND REMINDERS OF HOW WELL I AM DOING.I FEEL LIKE EVERYDAY I LEARN SOMETHING NEW AND I LOVE IT CUZ I KNOW THAT I AM NOT JUST LOOSING WEIGHT BUT CHANGING MY EATING HABITS AND LIFESTYLE TO.bUT MOSTLY THAT ITS NOT JUST WITH PILLS OR DRINKS AND SO ON AND SO ON AS THE STORY GOES.BUT THAT I AM INVOLVED AND LEARNING AND EXCITED TO CHANGE MY LIFE BUT I AM NOT ALONE THIS WEBSITE IS GREAT AND I LOOK FORWARD TO MANY MORE DAYS LIKE THIS LETS DO THIS TOGETHER.
