    Inches but not pounds?

I'm confused.  My clothes seem to be fitting better, but the scale isn't moving.

    Anyone else have this happen?

I have just the opposite I have lost 2 lbs but my clothes are getting tighter.   I would like the clothes to be fitting better.  I have not lost a pound in two weeks I stay the same.  Do you swell with the Alli pills?  I feel bloated!

Yeah, I can relate, chelleintn.  I cheated and weighed myself a day early and I expect not to lose any weight this week for my official wheigh-in tomorrow, but still my waist is smaller than it has been in a long time.  I suspect that some weeks if you are working out you might gain an equal amount of muscle to what you lose in fat, which makes you leaner but not lighter on the scale.  It is still a huge victory, though, especially since more muscle mass leads to a faster metabolism!

    Re: Inches but not pounds?

You are likely losing inches but gaining muscle so the weight on the scale isn't moving. Losing inches is good! :) Gaining muscle is also good because it is more metabolically active than fat and will help you burn more calories! I've gone through periods where my weight just wouldn't budge but the inches continued to come off.

    Keep up the good work!

    Re: Inches but not pounds?

I'm new to myalli...I just signed up today. I have been taking the pills for a few weeks. I didn't think I needed the online help, but when I realized that the scale wasn't moving I thought otherwise. I have slipped up of course...the hardest part is changing how you eat. Pesky cravings don't help either!!! Especially when a co-worker brings in donuts.

I have had several people say I look like I have lost weight, but I don't really feel it in my clothes. I'm very discourged right now :(

    Re: Inches but not pounds?

I am just starting on Alli - but have been dieting for the past two-weeks.  I lost about 3.5 pounds pretty quickly the first week; and nothing since then...but I am also noticing the same thing.  My clothes are noticably gettimg more loose - and I can not account for this through exercise...I am walking everyday - but not that much!  LOL.  I've always been experiencing some constipation - so I wonder if the food is just staying around longer and causing the "plateau"???
