    Re: Using Wii Fitness

Nita, I have EA Sports Active and it's a great activity. You can design your own workouts or do the challenge. There is a journal area for your thoughts. You can set goals. You can even have 2 player workouts. I particularly like the lower body workouts and cardio boxing. You can add in the Balance Board for variety in some of the workouts (adds kicks to cardio boxing, balance to inline skating, steps to dancing and lunges to sports games). You can change the intensity of the workout if you think it's too easy or remove activities that you can't do. (I can't do the jump lunges because of my knees so I always uncheck them from my workouts.) It's definitely worth the cost.

MFC is also a great purchase. It is more like having your own private aerobics instructor. I've been using it for almost 8 months and still haven't gotten tired of it. If you have an exercise ball, aerobic step, hand weights or a heart rate monitor, you can let the program know that you have them available and get some different exercises using those items. It can really increase the intensity of your workout. My cardio has improved tremendously using this program.

I just left Best Buy today and there's an in store promo for MFC for $19.99. I've been waiting for it to go on sale and just lucked up on it.  Good Luck!

    Re: Using Wii Fitness

When I was using the Wii Fit I would change up the exercises every day so I didn't get bored doing the same things. I think its important to have variety. Some days I would do just aerobic workouts like the boxing, hoola and step. Some days I would do a combination of strength exercises, a little cardio and some yoga. It all depended on my mood that day and how hard I wanted to work or how much time I had to do it. :)

I use mine on days I can't get to the gym.   I try to mix things up because of boredom.

    Re: Using Wii Fitness

I bought the EA Sports Active Program for the Wii and I LOVE IT!!  I did the 30 day Challenge and, after losing 10 pounds with that, I stopped it when school started in August.  BUT I'm ready to start it up again.  Thanks so much for the input on My Fitness Coach, I wasn't sure if I'd like that or not and your positive reviews are so helpful to me.  Now I want to get MFC and Wii Resort!  I'm actually starting Alli today for the very first time (yay!) and was thinking about how to squeeze exercise into my busy schedule, too. I guess I've just gotta get up earlier!  Gee, these boards are so motivating!!  Than you all and have a great day.

So much excitement is so inspiring.  I am getting my daughter WiiFit Plus for Xmas so I am glad for the extra input.
