Hi Rach and Fatima, welcome to the alli family.

Ok Elia, your signposting worked, i got here, lol.

Rach i live in north east, near newcastle, where are you?

as My dear friend Elia said i began taking alli before it was available in the uk and its awesome, ive lost around 26lb at a rate of 1lb per week, i hit a plateau a few weeks ago which lasted a couple of months but im back to losing. I have been fat for years and have tried everything, spent a fortune and give up when the going gets tough, but 2 things make alli different, one is the fear of treatment effects, nasty nasty, but as long as you stick to your fat grams you wont get them, so knowing that i cant have too much fat keeps me in check, now i have learned a healthy lifestyle and it is becoming a habit which is good. The second and most amazing thing about alli is this site and the boards, hey i have met so many great people who are now dear friends and they have helped me through all the ups and downs of this journey. I would have gained the weight back during my plateau was it not for them you see we are all in similar positions, so we can learn so much from each other. Just remember its a journey hills to climb rivers to cross and its so much easier when you have someone to share the journey with.

I still have another 20-30lb to lose but i know without a doubt that i will get to my goal with alli. Ive gone from a UK very tight size 18 to a size 14 and am very happy with that.

So girls, read the posts stay in contact follow the plan and enjoy your journey. add me to your circle if you want to stay in touch its easier to find each other again then.

    Good luck to you both

    Carole

    Re: Hi all.......... newbie!! x

hello , im here now. i havent been coming much. my weight is going down slowly now. i started at 185 or so now im 153. the scale keeps moving from 153 to 154 whats the problem. up and down. maybe im eating too much. i tried eating broiled fish tonite. then later i ate a bowl  of raisen bran. maybe i shouldnt of ate the cereal. i had hit a plateau a while back. now it seems im getting some old habits. i guess im going to get back to the way i ate when i was just begining to lose . ive been on alli since jan o9. ive never had this much weight change or even stayed on a diet for this long. i just call it a lifestyle change. not diet. and its hard when your family wants all the fatting stuff. i just suck it up and eat the healthier stuff. but in all my change feels good. and the time of month is near too. so that may be whats causing the cravings and all. do yall walk everyday. i try to go about 3 times a week. but i walk for near an hour at a time.maybe i should do it everyday and just a little less. i clean house  so that burns some cals.

i hope you all have a nice nite. well its nite for me got to go to sleep

    Re: Hi all.......... newbie!! x

Thanks to all for welcoming Rach and I to the Alli program. I have been on this program on Saturday and have lost 3.2 pounds. So my sw is 170 and I am 166.8 Ibs with diet and exercise which includes cardio and weight training and this is definitely keeping me motivated seeing that I am losing already.

Before I started on this program, I was on the south beach diet about 6 months ago at a sw of 204  so I lost 34 Ibs on the south beach andI am ready to lose 20 more Ibs with this program.

Remember all it takes is motivation, determination and support. We all know that it is a challenge to change a lifestyle but if you have at the back of your mind that you will can do it then you will succeed. I went from a size 16 to a size 10. My goal is to be a size 6 and to maintain it.

Karen I understand how you feel about the weight loss plateau situation that you are experiencing. I have experienced this too three to four time through my weight loss journey and it was a bit frustrating for me but I just continued eating right and exercised and the weight suddenly continued disappearing so I assume this is part of the whole weight loss thing.

We are all in this together and we effort and support we will all reach our goals and celebrate our success.

Hoping to hear from you ladies.

    have a good night!

    Cheers,

    Fatima
