How is everyone eating peanut butter??The peanut butter I have is creamy Jiff and it has like 17grams of fat per 2 tbsp??That is two over the fat allowances per my meal.  I am suppose to have 19 fat grams per meal, but I am doing 15 fat grams per meal becuse I m fraid of treatment effects.  But how are you guys eating peanut butter with other things?

    Re: Peanut Butter

Some people have one tablespoon at a time to fill out the fat for a meal.  Others use a product that's "Better than Peanut Butter" - I believe - and it has a lot less fat and good flavor.  Google it and you'll find the right name.

    I hope this helps.

    Re: Peanut Butter

I use Jif's reduced fat peanut butter and it is 12g of fat for 2 tbsp but I never use that much (that's quite a bit when you actually measure and look at it!!). I think it tastes just the same which is a big thing for me... I hate low fat or fat free stuff that doesn't taste anything like the real thing.  I have a weird thing with peanut butter and syrup together, so I had to find a good peanut butter for my breakfasts. Whole wheat english muffin, little peanut buter, some sugar free syrup.... yum!

Here's the website to the website to which I referred: www.betternpeanutbutter.com

The actual product name is Better 'n Peanut Butter; and it has 85% less fat and 40% less calories than regular peanut butter.  Reports from other alli users say it's good.  It's sold in many markets around the country (you can enter your zip code to find out where) and online.

If you're looking for some extra fat you can also have some sliced avocado, or toss some nuts into your salad or stir them into yogurt for dessert.  Also using a regular or LF salad dressing will add some fat.

    Re: Peanut Butter

I have been eating the better n peanut butter for a few years now. It actually has very good flavor and is very low in fat. Much better than regular peanut butter. I get it at either trader joes or wild oats type place.

Good to hear you enjoy it!  That's waht I've heard - consistently - from others.  I haven't tried it but since I have a Trader Joe's near by I think I have to.

    Thanks!

    Re: Peanut Butter

I have a problem with certain foods; not that I'm allergic, but I just don't like them.  Peanut Butter is one, Fish (in ANY style) is another.  What can I do to incorporate these items into my diet?

    Re: Peanut Butter

    Hi libran1003,

You can have lean poultry, beef or lamb instead of the seafood.  And perhaps you could try another nut butter like almond or cashew -- or skip the peanut butter all together.

The good part of the alli Program is that it's very versatile, and you can switch food items if you don't like them or have an allergy.

    I hope this helps.

    Re: Peanut Butter

I went to order it and they wanted $11 for shipped.  There is a Trader Joe's 2 hrs from me so the next time I am in the area, I will have to give it a try.
