My name is Jane. There are a couple of us who post a couple of times a week to the "ongoing daily exercise" thread that is on the "healthy lifestyle" section (just below where you made this post). Right now, there are 3 of us who post at least a couple of times a week and two or three other ladies who post 3 to 4 times per month. I tend to post my cardio, strenght training and nutrition counts. Some of the ladies post their exercise or their exercise and some general nutrition tracking. If you want to join us, you could simply post what's most helpful to you. Kathy and I are 50 somethings and Dee is raising young children so she's younger than Kathy and me. The three of us post most consistently.
I went through extensive physical rehab in 2004 and 2005 following medical problems in April 2004. Getting my life back on track, I started working on weight loss in 2005 at 240 lbs. Right now my weight is 201, but one day last week, I actually saw the "southside" of 200 for the first time in 5 years. Obviously, for me, to this point, the weight loss has been a slow process but I refuse to give up. Very recently, my weight loss has been averaging about a lb. per week, so I;m encouraged ... I've gone through whole years that have averaged 1 lb. per month.
I know you're not in your 50s, but there is also a friendly group of ladies on the "50 Something" forum and they welcome anyone who would like to participate there ... if you're interested ... make a post introducing yourself on the "Daily Thread" on the "50 Something" Forum (you can state that Jane encouraged you to join in, if that makes you feel more comfortable). It's a nice group of ladies, and, after just a week or two you will feel you know the regular posters there ... hope to see you in either or both locations in the near future.
