What Happens to the Fat You Burn?

I know this may seem like a weird question, but I was just wondering what happens to all the fat that you burn (resulting in weight loss) when you exercise? I know that 25% of the fat we consume is blocked when we take the Alli pill, but I just want to know what happens to the rest when we're exercising or following our meal plan? (Does it just get released as "waste?")

    Hi crys1978,

Thanks for writing and wow... what a great question!! So when we are in our "fat-burning" zone, it is utilized for fuel for our muscles, and other working organs and is oxidized... Just as when wood is set on fire.  It releases oxidized and releases energy.

There are bi-products that are a result of bodily functionsthat are removed from the body via waste, etc.

Keep up the great work and great questions!

    Kelli
