    Hi everyone,

    Yes, I've been lacking on checking the boards.  I haven't got into the groove yet.  Another excuse!!   Well, I weighed in today and am down 1/2 lb, making my total so far 5 lbs.  I would like it to be better, but it is totally my fault that it isn't.  I do so well during the week, but my weekends are my downfall. 

    Elia, I hope your trip to the keys was wonderful.  You probably  have posted on another thread and I'm heading there next. 

    Lynn, thanks for the heads up on the videos on the Alli website.  I've never tried them yet.  I have been walking and today, I went to water aerobics.  I also starting riding my bike and doing situps.  I figure I have to exercise more to work off the meals that are not good. Spoke to my friend yesterday, the one that's moving to Fargo, and she has mixed emotions about the move.  Excited and worried.  She has MS and does better in colder weather, but not sure that cold.

    Marcia, I hope you are still checking back in with us.  It will be nice to have several folks here trying to work together.

    Hey Carol,  I weighed in today.....down 2lbs.  I wasn't good everyday last week.  I went out to eat but I didn't have cheesecake at the Cheesecake Factory.  I had the Grilled shrimp Club.  It was 20 fat grams and I only ate 1/2.  I gave the fries away.  And I didn't have any ice cream birthday cake for my twins.  So, I did more good than bad.  Good job on the working out.  Sounds like you are doing lots of different exercise....which will keep you from getting bored.  Later, Lynn

     Remember this is a lifestyle change...you are going to have slip ups, birthday parties, graduations, weddings, family get togethers, and food will always be there!  PORTION SIZES MAKE A BIG DIFFERENCE!  And if you go over on cal or fat grams, just plan to do better tomorrow.

    Many of us beat ourselves up when we are not perfect!  Guess what we aren't perfect...but we can do this.  How many times have you tried to lose weight, followed some strict diet, fell off then said, "oh well, I might as well finish off the cheesecake?" or something like that????   I HAVE!!  Just get back on the horse and you will be okay.

    I actually ate out and still lost last week.  Yep, down another 3 lbs!  Happy dancing for me!

    I am happiest to report that I feel so much better when I eat properly...no more need for antacids, my doc has taken me off several meds, and I am able to move much easier.  It is all in the choices we make for ourselves.  It does take time to learn new habits and to lose the old ones.  Give yourselves a break.  You wouldn't be too hard on anyone else.

    great job on getting off those meds. and you're right, portion size is so key. i've been one of those in the past that would eat 3 or 4 portions and still be hungry. now i'm re-learning what i've known all along, that i was overeating out of control portion sizes. it catches up for sure.  all is not lost b/c we have control over our portions and it takes a little bit of getting used to but we do it.

    Marcia, that's wonderful about the 3 lbs.  And great advice about portion control and not beating ourselves up.  When I posted yesterday, I was down a bit.  But today, I'm much better.  My husband stayed home today from work and wanted McD's for breakfast and I was real good!  I  had the Egg Mc with no cheese and put my own lo-fat on when I brought it home.  Had some has browns too, all that was under the 18 grs of fat.  So I was able to "cheat" but not end up messing up the whole day. 

    Lynne, congrats on your weight loss, too.  It would have been hard to pass up all the good stuff.  And good girl, on passing on the cheesecake.  Just think of the fat/calories you turned down.  Good job.

    Nita, good to see you here as well.  I think we have a good group here.  Let's keep up the accountablity with each other.

     Hello everyone!! Congrats to everyone since you all ost some weight this week!! Marcia awsome post!! I could not agree with you more! Nita, good to have you hear too! Lyn, great going on skipping the cheesecake! Carol hon, you will do fine, just keep posting!! Hey, when I go to Mc D's for breakfast, I just ask for two round eggs, take them home and have them with some multygrain bread plus some fruit on the side! Shoot, I am on the 1200 cal with only 12 grams of fat!! Ok gang, time to hit the road! Going to the pool this afternoon! Have a great evening! Love,

    Hey, when I checked and found out the cheesecake had 970 calories and 63 grams of fat I said "no, no no".  I would have had te's for a week! lol  It's not worth that.

    Marcia, glad to have you back.  Thanks for your words of wisdom.  You are right I am always much harder on myself than I would be on anyone else.  Good reminder.

    Good morning everyone! Hey Lynn, I think from now on if there is going to be any cheesecake in my eating plan, it will be just one bite, that will just have to do it! Now, what is the verdict on key lime pie?? Ok, did not make it to the pool yesteday, nor did I walk, heck I only lifted weights for less than 4 minutes! I was very tired and it was raining. I have learned that if I do not pay attention to my body when it screams at me that I have to slow down, I will end up being sick!! How are you doing Carol? How about you Marcia?  Hey Nita, where are you now? Seems like you are all over, which is really great! Ok gang, I guess I better try to look like I am actually working! Have a healthy and safe day!     Hi girls.  My internet has been up and down more than my weight since Saturday.  Quick post to say, it's getting fixed today and I'll be back to catch up.

    Hi and happy Saturday!!!

    Finally, my internet is fixed.  It wasn't until late yesterday and the third repair guy in three days, did the problem get resolved.  My husband & I knew the problem (old router), and the third guy was the only one that figured it out.  I was getting so tired of going up for a couple of minutes and then down.  I do a online and this was quite frustrating.

    I haven't been able to track my meals all week, so I'm hoping my calories/fat were in line.  I took my Alli each day, most meals, and so far no TE's.  I've been exercising all week, walking, videos and situps/leg lifts every day.  Somedays I do get a bit frustrated, weighing everyday, I know bad, bad, bad.  But I'm a scale-aholic.   Sometimes I'm way down and other times way up.  Tried moving the scale to another room, but I just chased it down.  :o)   I gave up, it's back in the bathroom. 

    I am also so behind on reading posts.  That's something I really missed, the postings of everyone.  I love reading them, mainly to keep myself on track by listening to what others have to say.  It will take me some time to get back into the swing again, so I'm starting with the post. 

    Lynn, Elia, Marcia, I hope I haven't lost anyone.  Take care and I'll WILL be back now (unless, bite my tongue, the internet goes down again.)

    Hi Carol, glad to see you back online.  That can be so frustrating.  I am still plugging along.  Weekends are the hardest for me.  I need the structure to stay on track of my eating.  Too many choices on the weekends.  I am keeping busy this weekend packing my twins stuff to go into storage while they start college.  If they weren't working 80+ hours a week they could do this themselves.  It will be the last thing I do for them..........so I am gritting my teeth and doing it just to get it done.  It is keeping me out of the kitchen.  lol  Carol good to have you back....now where are the rest of my buddies?

     Hi Carol, Im looking for a buddy too! Im 53 yrs old and have only been on the plan a few days in fact my first weigh in is not till the 24th but, I have a goal and a plan and Im going to stick with it.

    We are retired, so I have alot of time to think about food. My gw is to lose 67 lbs .This is the heaviest Ive been since I had my kids! Id love to have someone to chat with through this.

    I would like to be at my goal weight by March my daughter is getting married and Im soooo excited and I dont want to be Fat!

    I do my excersies everydayand write everything down....which I think keeps me sane and I keep track of what Im eating.

    Please keep going and Ill be right there to back you up !    Crystal
