I thought you're only supposed to lose 1-2 pounds ... did you go way below your fat or calorie intake recommendations?

Nope, I stayed on target all week.  Most people will tell you its mostly water weight the first week.  I also work out for at least 30 minutes every day.

Re: How much weight have you lost?

I haven't been able to follow the diet due to scheule and kids but I am down 2 lbs since Monday. I am just trying to watch what I take into my body. I know it's hard to lose weight, I have 57 to lose. The worst part is I lost it on weight watchers but now I have no buddy so I put all the weight on plus in a year. It sucks to go from a 12 to a 6 to a 15 in a year!!!

Re: How much weight have you lost?

Hi I am starting Alli today. I have lost 10lbs since July 1st and thought that Alli might help me lose a little better. I am looking for a buddy or buddies. Congrats to everyone for losing! Great Job!

I've lost 15lbs since I started, would be more but I've gone through a few personal problems lately, so I went a few weeks without working out.

Re: How much weight have you lost?

I started alli a year ago and have lost 37 pounds.

When I started, I had planned to do it for a year and had hoped that I would lose about 50 lbs., but I am still extremely happy with the results.  Ecstatic, even.  People seem to lose more quickly if they are younger (I am 50 and it seems especially hard for women my age) and if you have a lot to lose, especially in the beginning.  Slow and steady definitely wins this race.  I lost 20 pounds the first three months, took a planned break of a couple of months, then lost 10 in about three months, and the last 7 have been slowly coming off since then.  I have gone from a size 20 to 12 and starting to fit into 10s.

I have been good about exercising, so that defininetly helped me.

I don't  really care how long the last 10 pounds take to lose.  I have more or less stopped taking the pills and will do the rest with healthy eating and lots of exercise.  They are really just vanity pounds because I look and feel great now.  I know that I will do it because over a year's time, all the changes are now normal.  It is a permanent change.

To all of you just starting out, be patient.  Alli doesn't give you instant results, but every pound and every ounce adds up over time.  Give yourself a year and work hard at it and see where you are then.  I think you'll be happy.

    Caroline

Re: How much weight have you lost?

I am thrilled to have a 17 pound weight loss over the past 9 weeks. I average about 2 pounds a week, with the exception of my cycle weeks.

But the key to remember, I think, Is that weight loss is so very individualized... I was discouraged when I saw that people were losing 5 -7 pounds a week, and I was losing 1-2, but I then realized that body's are different, and I am meant to lose the weight slowly..

So base your journey on your own success, not others! Good luck!

Re: How much weight have you lost?

Your reply helps me a little.  I am completed my second week on Alli and only lost 1 pound this past week and 1 pound the first week.  I know it is on individual basis, but I was really hoping to do better this week.  I won't stop, I'll keep on pushing, it's just disheartening, BUT I will survive.
