    low fat meal

If I eat a meal that is low in fat, for instance for breakfast I might eat cereal and skin milk which is higher in carbs than fat, would I skip an alli pill?

When you are eating a meal that is nonfat or very low in fat, you can choose to skip an alli dose and save it for a higher fat meal.

    Re: low fat meal

What about meals containing 9 or 10 grams, sometimes I have a hard time getting all the fat grams I am supposed to. I find that I just can't find anything in the kitchen that will fill the fat grams up  so I opt to stop where I am instead of over doing it on my calorie count or forcing myself to eat more even though I am full, Is this ok and should I take the pill with meals that are only 9-10g of fat?

Alli will still be blocking 25 % of the calories when you are eating a meal that contains between 9-10 grams of fat. Those blocked calories will count. At the end of the day you want a caloric deficit, more calories burned than consumed in order to lose weight.

    Re: low fat meal

Personally, I skipped the pill unless I ate at least 10 grams of fat, just because they don't cut that many calories when you are talking about so little fat and the pills do cost money.  But ... I didn't eat many meals that were that low in fat because that isn't a balanced diet.  If you are having more than a meal or two a week that is that low in fat and that high in calories, then you most likely eating too many carbs.  Eat fewer carbs and you will be able to eat more fat grams before you are hit the calorie limit or feel full.  That will be a more balanced diet.

Almonds are good for filling in a few fat grams without too many calories.  So are Hershey's kisses, if you can stop at one or two.  So are olives and string cheese sticks, cut in half.  You'll find your favorite ways to do this and make sure you keep them on hand in your kitchen.

The thing about alli is that you only have to track cals and fat, but if you meet the target for both, it will snap your carb intake into place.
