How long can you take alli?

    Hello,

I just started on the Alli program. I have 120 pounds to lose. If I were to stay on Alli for a year, is it safe to stay on Alli for that long?

My other questions is:  Last year my gallblatter was infested with stones. I had to have my gallblatter removed. I asked my doctor if it was safe to take Alli without my gallblatter, he told me to post here and ask. He really couldn't tell me.

    Thank you,

    Lori Giattino

Re: How long can you take alli?

Alli can safely be used for up to 2 years, as this was the duration of the clinical studies. Do note the majority of the weight in any program is lost in the first six months and then it slows down, but with motivation and hard work you can achieve your goal. One year is a reasonable time frame.

It is recommended to ask your physician prior to taking alli , when you have had a history of gallbladder disease.  Some people have a problem with digesting food, especially fat without a gallbladder.

I lost 30 pounds within six months using Alli and have gradually gained back 15 pounds over a two year period.  Will Alli still be effective in my weight loss?

Hello. It is fine to re-start the alli porgram in order to lose weight you have put bake on over time. There is absolutely no reaqson to think that the program will work any differently than it did before. If it helped so well the first time around, you should get the same results this time. Good luck and best of health!
