how long does each Alli pill last?

On weekends, I don't eat actual meals.  I nibble constantly throughout the day.  I know that I'm supposed to take 1 Alli before meals, and no more than 3 a day, but that doesn't work for me on weekends.  So if I take an Alli before nibbling, how long will that one Alli last as I nibble?

And how about Thanksgiving?  The "meal" can last for several hours as we eat one course, then relax for a while, then the next, and then relax again, then dessert.  Will one Alli at the start last through the whole meal?

And even if I only take 3 in a day, is there a rule to how close together they can be?  is taking 2 Allis within 3 hours too close to each other?

Re: how long does each Alli pill last?

An alli dose is effective for 2 hours and should be spaced at least 2 hours apart.

Alli works by inhibiting the fat digesting enzyme lipase. This enzyme is secreted by the gut when you start eating food that contains fat, this is time limited. Continual grazing will not keep the enzymes and hormones in check.

When it comes to eating at celebrations, many individuals choose to skip alli for that meal or day.  It can be done but you need to keep the fat and caloric consumption in check, which basically means "passing" on some of the courses.
