    recently bought alli again

Hello, I found a store that had a ton of alli pills at extremely low cost so I bought about 7 boxes... when I got them home I noticed they are all a month or two past the expiration date so I was curious if they will still work. I tried them once before and I liked them. I at fist had really greasy stools. Well I have been taking them for 2 days now and haven't had that symptom and was curious if the pills will still work being outdated.

    Re: recently bought alli again

Hello. As a pharmacist, I would never tell a patient it was ok to use medication past it's expiration date. It is actually illegal for stores to sell expired medication and you should demand your money back or report them. Are they a store that has a pharmacy? If so, you should notify the State Board of Pharmacy. While it is unlikely that the expired alli is dangerous to use, there is no way to guarantee that it has it's full potency. In addition, since it was being sold at a deep discount, it makes me wonder what the owner of the stre knows that you don't such as whether the medication was stored properly or exposed to something. I wouldn't recommend using it.
