    Alli & AntiDepressants

I'm currently on Cymbalta & Abilify for Depression as well as Ativan for anxiety attacks. I believe my weight gain has a lot to do with taking antidepressants, although my dr. insured me that it may be harder to lose the weight & that's pretty discouraging. I was wondering if there are any SUCCESS stories on alli users who take antidepressants and LOST the weight. Let me know!

    Re: Alli & AntiDepressants

I gained weight with an antidepressant also and have been unable to lose until Alli.  Yes, I am losing weight on Alli and still taking an antidepressant pill!  I guess it just took a pill to fight a pill? :)

I also take my antidepressant at lunch, when I also take an Alli pill.  It has no affect for me to take them together.

This is encouraging to hear!  That is exactly why I am trying Alli.  I started antidepressants 3 years ago and packed on 25 pounds and now am stuck and can't get it off.  Hoping this will give it a jumpstart!

    Re: Alli & AntiDepressants

+1 I am a college student who became a little overwhelmed when I got to college and got on a antidepressant. I have always been pretty fit but have struggled with my junk food cravings. I started to see a huge spike in my weight and before i new it I had gained 50 pounds (i am only 5 feet tall). I am devatestated it has gotten to the point where friends, family ,and my boyfriend are all concerned but it is so hard to lose the weight i am so glad to see it is working for someone. Do you still get food cravings?
