    Next Phase Question

Hello!  I have been taking Alli for a year now and I am thrilled with the results.  I am so close to reaching my goal but I'm starting to think the Alli stopped working.  I'm still watching calories and fat grams, adding lots of fiber, veggies, and fruit, and taking Alli with meals.  I'm working out for one hour faithfully every day.  In the beginning I was losing on average one pound a week.  Now that I am within five pounds of my goal it's taking me three or four weeks to lose a pound.  Since starting next phase I've added walking outside to my daily workout.  What else can I do to start losing again?  Do you have any advice for me?  I would also like to say that I really miss the support of the first phase of myAlli plan.  Every time I lost a pound I so much appreciated the Congratulations response.  It really kept me motivated.  Next phase let's me check in every week but when I report a loss there is zero positive feedback. Thank you!

    Re: Next Phase Question

Congratulations on your results!  It sounds like you've done an amazing.

Yes, weight loss does slow down the closer you get to goal weight.  And it's very frustrating!  But it's also is a bit of physics: It takes more energy (calories) to move a 200-pound object, for instance, than one that's 140 pounds.  Also, the body likes to maintain a certain balance and it's less likely to give up stored energy (fat!) as it gets leaner.

So Patience is really the guideline now.  Just keep focused on you goal, keep watching your calories, fat, fiber, activity, etc. and you will reach your goal!

Remember we're always here for you...and ready to give lots of positive feedback.  So don't worry about those rude check-ins, just come to the message board and we'll be rooting for you all the way!

Please let me know if you need anything else.

I agree.  I like the info that comes up once you check in.

    Hi,

We are looking for a few successful alli users to to potentially showcase in advertising, public relations, appearances, etc.  You look like a good candidate to me!  Close to goal, user of the messages boards and support, etc. etc.

I don't have any details on this, but ask you to contact Debbie Bolding at deborah.g.bolding@gsk.com for more information.

    Good luck!

    Pat
