Starting Alli tomorrow & looking for an accountability partner!

I am a stay at home wife & mother who needs to loose about 150 lbs!  I started WW last year and lost almost 40 lbs within about 4 months!  Then the holidays came around & I decided I would just try to be smart without being strict on myself... Well, its been almost a year now & the holidays are just around the corner again!!  This time I am not going to let myself cheat like I did last year b/c I put back on almost 20 lbs!!!  I have since taken 10 of those back off, so my total weight loss since a year and a half ago is 30 lbs.  Sadly I still have a LONG way to go!

I would love to have a partner who is about my age (32) and who also has a lot of weight to loose (100+), so we can help keep each other motivated!!

    Thanks for taking the time!

Re: Starting Alli tomorrow & looking for an accountability partner!

Hi, I would love to be your partner! I have probably 50-60 pounds to lose myself. I also did WW 3x and lost 50 lbs. the 2nd time and I was soooooo happy! Well that didnt last long I like you cheated on the holidays.

I had major surgery in 2008 and I was unable to eat, so that worked out good for me as far as the weight control. Let me tell you......lol as soon as I was able to eat the weight started creeping up on me. I went from going in the hospital at around 175 and coming home and 7 weeks off of work I was 160! I couldnt believe it. Happiness short lived! LOL

So now it is back to a little over 200 and I need to do this. I got rid off all my fat clothes as I call them and now having to buy them all over again is getting a little expensive.

So I am ready when you are, I see you want someone about your age? I am 43 am I to old??

    LOL

    Let me know

Hi,  I am also a stay at home mom...age 32 and I also need to lose about 60 lbs.  Of course 100 would be fantastic.  When my husband joined the Army I gained about 20lbs while he was in boot camp.  Now that he is in Afganistan I gained another 20.  I would love to lose it all and more in order to get to a better me.  He comes home in Feb and I would love to be your accountability partner to keep me on track!

Most people do not experience treatment effects when taking alli.  As long as you are following the guidelines and staying within your fat gram limits you should be able to tolerate the digestive changes well.  Increasing the amount of fiber you eat seems to help also as it slows down GI transit time, absorbs water and keeps you feeling fuller longer.

Best of Luck! Once you put your mind to it you can achieve anything.

Re: Starting Alli tomorrow & looking for an accountability partner!

I too am starting Alli tomorrow and I have about 50lbs to loose. I have also done the WW thing but I gained the weight back and it became too time consuming to count points and all. Aside from WW I have tried a few other quick fix diets but they only worked for the short term. Now that I am 33 yrs old it has began to be even harder to loose the weight but I am ready for a change!
