New to Alli and need some guidance please

Hello, I am new to Alli; just started on Friday 10/30/09.  So far, Ive not had any treatment effects and am just wondering if I am doing something wrong.  Not that I want treatment effects but I want to make sure im using the product correctly.  I am 31 years old and am 5'7" tall and weigh 234 lbs and this is truely my last resort for weight loss.  I read some promising reviews and after 6months of contemplating trying this product; I decided that I had nothing to lose, but weight, and bought Alli.  I am having a very hard time getting the appropriate fat grams per meal.  I usually have Subway for lunch w/ baked chips; breakfast is minimal to a Special K breakfast bar or something of that nature.  Dinner and late night snacking is my downfall.  Ive been trying to eat grilled/baked chicken breast with a veggie for dinner.  Im trying to average 1400 cals per day and stay at the 15 grams of fat per meal schedule.  I drink about 4-6 bottles of water a day.  I do Pilates for exercise; that of which I began on Friday as well.  So my question is; does the Alli plan seem like it will be the plan for me?  I don't know how to up my fat intake and keep my calories down.  That part is confusing for me.  I am so embarrassed by the way I look and the weight has made me very miserable.  I am optimistic that Alli will work;but I just can't seem to get the plan down.  Can someone please help me?

Re: New to Alli and need some guidance please

Welcome to the alli program!   So glad to hear that you are giving alli a chance.  To help you get started you will need to register your product by going to myalliplan.  There you will get your personalized meal plan, which it will required you to provide a few details about food preferences or allergies.  Once you get your specific meal plan then you can edit your meals and make any changes by simply choosing from the substitution list.  It will help you can stay within your calories and fat grams for the day.  You will love how easy and beautiful these tools are.  You will find the nutrition logs (were you can keep track of your food intake and get a daily nutrient analysis of your progress) very cool :)

Also, I am including a list of foods that can help you increase your fat intake while still keeping your recommended calories:

4 almonds or walnuts = 4 grams fat, 44 calories

1/4 cup cubed avocado = 5.5 grams fat, 60 calories

    1 cup 1% low fat milk = 2.4 grams fat, 102 calories

1 cup Low fat fruit yogurt = 2.5 grams fat, 240 calories

1 tablespoon creamy peanut butter = 8 grams fat, 100 calories

4 oz. Salmon Chinook fillet, broiled = 15 grams fat, 252 calories

Losing weight is hard but not impossible...we are here to provide any help you may need along the way...

Wishing you only the best to come!

    Cheers!
