As the Alli literature states, you need to consult with your physician prior to taking Alli if you have a history of thyroid disease.  Weight loss may facilitate the need to change thyroid medication dosage and more frequent monitoring may be necessary.

As with all other medications, Alli needs to be spaced apart at least 1-2 hours after a levothyroxine dose.

Re: Will Levo-thyroxine interact with the Alli?

I am just beginning this program and my thyroid doctor was the one who recommended it to me. He said that as long as you take the medications at different times, then it would be fine. If you take it too close together, the alli will take out all the thyroid medication. ANyway, hope this helps you. I am battling with weight ever since I had my children and also with thyroid problems. Good luck to you. Hope you get some help too. I am looking forward to this.

     Hope
