    McDonald's & Alli

So I forgot to bring my lunch today, and  I was in a real rush for lunch. So I got 2 cheesburgers and a medium fry. It has now been 2 hours since lunch and I haven't felt anything. I have had no "treatment effects"  in the past 5 days. I have eaten healthy until now, but I am starting to wonder if this really works or is just another diet pill with false promises. Somebody give me some motivation!!

I believe it takes the pill 24-48 hours to work so if you took a pill with your McDonald's chances are you'll feel it today. Good luck.

    Re: McDonald's & Alli

Hi BeBe....sometimes the treatment effect take a few days.. I ate not so great on Saturday and the TE didnt hit till Monday....AND OH BOY DID IT HIT.....

Next time you have to go to McDonalds try to make a better choice. I have found that a chicken nugget happy mean with a diet soda or water works great.. The 4 McNuggets and a few fries are within our range. Only a few fries though.. I usually only eat salads there but my kids got a happy meal last week and I was looking at the nutrition value.

That being said 2 cheeseburger is a lot better than a big mac or something... Just remember, you may not have the TE right away... and if you havent had any before, then you are doing great. I said this somewher else, be careful what you wish for cuz it might come true. I was thinking ALLI wasnt working and then I had the TE on Monday. I lost 5lbs so far by eating relatively well but Alli really does work..

    GOOD LUCK...DONT BE DISCOURAGED!!! paula

I have had bad treatment effects. I have a very bad organge oily discharge. SO becareful it might take awhile for the effect to catch up to you but they will.

Um I would expect the TE's to come when you think they won't.  Especially after eating what you did.  I would be super surprised if you don't have any.

    Re: McDonald's & Alli

Every Friday night my granddaughter and I walk to McDonalds for dinner. I eat 2 regular hamburgers, 1 value fry, and we eat an ice cream cone on the way home. I take my Alli pill right before we leave, and I've never had any effects. I'm pretty good the rest of the week.

It is working for me....4 lbs since June 18th and no treatment effects at all!  I have even had cheese pizza!  I do watch carefully what I eat and the amount.  The pizza, I soaked up some of the grease with a napkin.  I have had a few chocolate cravings.  When I go to McDonald's I eat the classic grilled chicken sandwich...NO FRIES.  To fill like I am getting a little something else I order the yogurt parfait, nice treat.

     GOOD LUCK!

I love how you're dieting and then you give your kids McDonalds. When I have kids I won't bring them to fast food places. My parents didn't. Spare them the need to take diet pills in the future.

Hi.  I'm Tikii.  I eat at McDonald's fairly often.  However, I have the Big and Tasty, with no mayo.  Tastes pretty good.

I successfully raised 3 kids, ate at McDonalds, and they're at normal weights. Now I enjoy it with my 7 year old granddaughter. Each time we go, she CHOOSES a cheeseburger, chocolate milk and apple dippers instead of fries. The key is to teach your kids healthy values no matter where they eat. It wasn't McDonalds that made me overweight, it was overindulging my sweet tooth with no excersize. Now I'm practicing what I preached!

If you don't have kids you really shouldn't judge how others are doing as parents. It's about teaching moderation to your children - not deprevation. There is a happy medium.

    BeBe,

I'm not judging you for eating fast food, but it is the worst possible food you could put into your body.  Fast food is loaded with trans fats, sodium, cholesterol, even the salads are fattening.  Rent "Super Size Me" and "Fast Food Nation" and watch them both in one night.  I can almost guarantee you will never want to eat fast food again.  I watched "Fast Food Nation" last night and was horrified.  Good luck!

and I love how people without kids always say that..I sure did before I had mine!  One Happy meal a week, and no fries?  She'll be fine....

And like the grandpa said, McD's doesn't make you fat.  YOU make you fat.

I either have a grilled chicken salad and apple dippers at McDonalds, or I get a grilled chicken classic with no mayo and a side salad.  It is possible to eat healthier at McDonalds.
