    Re: 100+ group

I would also love to join this group! I plan on combining alli with weight watchers. I have already lost 28 lbs in the last month and would like to continue on with such success. What do y'all think about maybe starting a freewebs page or webpage for our group?

    Re: 100+ group

Hi! My name is Sandy and I need to be a part of this bunch! I'm from SW AR and am a housewife, a mother, and a cattle farmer, who loves animals and just about any type of crafting/gardening.

I quit smoking (after 27 years/2 packs a day) in 2000, on my 40th birthday and quit living on Dr Peppers (between 8 and 15 a day...not kidding!) on my 41st. I had kept my weight between 140 and 155, back 'n forth, for about 20 years, but within a year of quitting smoking I had gained 35 pounds, and for each year since then I've gained about another 5 to 10. Not a pretty picture!

I started this past December, watching what I was eating, with my husband and I pretty much sticking with the WW plan. (We know the points system better than we do calories, and we really love a lot of the recipes we get through that program/site.)

Since December 25, I (5'3") have lost from 227 to 210.5 (and Mike (6'3") has lost from 255 to 238), so I (we) are doing okay, but that still leaves me with about 90 pounds to lose. 90 pounds I am going to lose!

My family doctor is working with me now to get my blood sugar down...I do not want to deal with diabetes, so this is a must-win situation for me. I hope I will find a lot of encouragement from this board and am excited about next Monday...I am literally going to be waiting outside of the closest WalGreens when they open!

Hope this is going to be fun and healthy!!!

    Re: 100+ group

Go to Wal-Mart.  I checked the prices last nite - in my area of SE Florida here is the difference.

    60 ct starter pack  Wal-mart $39.24  Walgreens $49.99

    90 Ct starter pack  Wal-Mart $49.63 Walgreens $59.99

120 refill pack at Wal-mart (Walgreens did not have it)  $62.88

There was no product just a display with prices.

I heard Costco can be cheaper yet.  Look around the message boards.

    Good Luck, Bonnie

    Re: 100+ group

I would like to be part of the 100+ group also. Seems like i lose a little weight and gain back twice as much. I am ready to lose this weight for good! Recently got married and with my life being a lot happier then it was before i know i can do this. Can't wait for Alli to be released!

I wish everyone good luck losing the weight they desire and i hope we can all lean on each other when we need to. Its always a long hard road but together we can help each other. I want to lose about 135 pounds - i think once i get close i can narrow it down to excatly where i want to be.

    good luck all!

We deserve a Happy Healthy life...

I think one of the most important thing we need to remember is that this is not a miracle pill. I have been overweight all my life and over the past 4 years, my weight has skyrocketed. I am approx. 100 lbs overweight and I'm 34.

My issues with weight stem from abuse as a child and self esteem issues. Food was comfort for me and although I KNOW everything I need to do and should do (portion control, etc), it has become so ingrained in me to eat whenever I felt like it. The justifications I used to excuse my weight increase ( I was sick, my husband loves me the way I am, I don't have diabetes) have become a crutch for me.

Let's face it...this pill can HELP us reduce our fat absorption, but WE have to help oursleves. Do we want to be on another message board 5 years from now posting the same messages about how we have tried everything?

I am doing this for myself as I don't want to be fat anymore. If I had a dollar for every excuse I gave, I'd be a rich woman. I owe this to myself and my children. I deserve to be healthy and I know that if I put my mind to it, I can overcome these obstacles that have kept me in fat hell. I am stronger than any mental feeling of happiness food may give me.

If I can survive sexual abuse, I know I can overcome my food issues. God will help me through this.

I need to believe this and writing this out has helped strengthen my resolve. If anyone wants support, feel free to email me!

    Re: 100+ group

I am in this group also....need to lose 121 lbs.  I also live in GA.  I am in Alpharetta which is 20 north of Atlanta.

Have tried so many things in the past, had even decided to have the lap band surgery until I heard this was coming out this month.  While faithfully following WW and Curves for around 8 years and lost 55 lbs and couldn't go anywhere past that point in a year, gave up.  This is my last chance and I will make it one way or the other.

Good luck to everyone, hope we can keep each other motivated and encouraged.

    Frances

    Re: 100+ group

I remembered a little morale boosting phrase earlier today & thought I'd share...

Nothing, not even chocolate, tastes as good as being healthy - dare I say skinny - feels.

Y'all have a great weekend & I look forward to weighing in & kicking this off on Monday.  I got the meds & it says to eat low fat for 3 days before taking.  I'm on the right track...

    Andrea
