    Re: PLEASE ANSWER

Sarah, I am not really following the Alli meal plan, theres not many items they have in the meal plan that I actually like.  I eat out alot, So I have been eatting Subway alot!...I've been getting Ham with no cheese...Onion Pickle Tomato and Lettuce...I've been taking my pills like I should, I snack on Bananas and every few days I will eat a Crazy Bread from Little Caesars.  I am not a HUGE fan of water, I have been drinking sugar free punch, which is absolutely wonderful!...and Also I have been snacking on Animal Crackers with Sugarfree Coolwhip I hope this helps! I've lost 5 pounds in the last...10 days.

    Re: PLEASE ANSWER

This is day 1 for me...I am planning on using the meal plan.  I am a vegetarian, however and I have substituted meatless options for all the defaulted "carnivore" meals.  So far I have had breakfast & lunch per the plan and they were good...especially the lunch (quick black bean dip w/ baked tortilla chips).  I have done my shopping for the week so hopefully I will be able to stick to the plan.

    Re: PLEASE ANSWER

Hi sarah,  i have been following the meal plan and i've gotten the book "the ali diet plan".  altho i have found there is a discrepancy on the amounts of fat intake in that and what the pamphlets say that came with the pills.  i have found it easy to follow the meal plan and have been having different foods that i normally wouldn't have.  today i bought the frozen waffles and had three of them for lunch with sugar free syrup...very good.  for supper i made the family the chicken fajitas from the diet plan book and they all liked it.  i cheated and had cheese cause hey, what's a fajita w/o cheese!  i know i'll suffer the dreaded TE's tomorrow but at least the food was good.

i was at a "box store" over the weekend and bought two bags of frozen fruits.  about a 1/4 of that is, if i remember right, 60 calories and 0 fats.  the fruit tastes good and is a great snack!

let me know how you do...

    Re: PLEASE ANSWER

    Hi, Sara -

I'm not following the diet online because I'm just too darn lazy to buy all that food and cook it.  PLUS I know I would not follow it so I printed out a bunch of recipes that I would like to eat and keep them in my purse in my coupon envelope.

    Re: PLEASE ANSWER

I dont like to think about food that much when on a diet. It makes me hungry. I just buy healty food, then cook what I want. I follow the Richard Simmonds 1800 cal diet, where you get food exchanges, like the old diabetic diet. You get 6 carbs, 6 proteins, 4 fruits, 2 milks, 3 fats, 7 veggies, & one extra for 1800 cal. The books explain the portions, & what an extra is, also what is free to eat any time you are hungry & your calories are gone. Also it comes with a restarant guide. I like it because once you close your windows you are done, & dont have to write down what you eat. I may try some of the Alli recipies, some of them look good.

I do cook allot of stuff in mass, then freeze it in portions, rather than buying frozen dinners. Then I can use wheat carbs, brown rice, low fat stuff ect. Like stir fry & brown rice. Wheat pasta & marinara, soups ect.

I try not to eat white flour, white rice, white potatos ( I usually eat sweet potatoes, or squash), white sugar,  fruit juice (you are better off with the actual fruit, it stays with you longer) artificial sweetner ( I make exceptions for my sugar free fugde pops, & the very rare diet pop) artificial sweetners just make you hungry. I also avoid preseratives, they are hard for your body to break down, so make you gain wt.

    sarahanna2003

I'm on my second week following the meal plan.  I've made a few substitutions for the times we're gone from home....but I love the meals!  I'm learning so much about nutrition.  I always thought we were healthy eaters.....until I starting really seeing how much fat was in our diets.  Also, my husband was always the cook because I just didn't know what to cook....how much to fix.....etc.  But, alli has taken the guess work out of it for me!   Everything has been yummy and super easy to fix.  I save so much time by fixing the food at home!  --  and I never thought I'd ever say that.  But, I can have a meal prepped, fixed, eatten, and cleaned up by the time it'd take us to drive to a restaurant and order.  And because I'm moving (well, at least I'm not just sitting and waiting for the plate to come to me) I feel I'm burning off a few calories while fixing dinner too.  Hope this helps.
