    WW and Alli questions

I plan to follow WW and Alli together and I know many of you are too.  How are you keeping up with the fat and points?  Many of the WW materials only give you points and no fat grams.  Are you looking up points and fat grams?

    Re: WW and Alli questions

I am curious about this also.  I love the ww points but don't want to be looking up points and fats.  I stick to about 25 pts a day.  Would love to hear how others are doing this!

    Re: WW and Alli questions

I'm pretty much doing core foods but adding nuts and peanut butter for fat grams. Since core is low fat meats, fruts and veggies. Low fat stuff is part of core too, like cheeses. So i'm more or less watching my fat grams and calories. It's working, as i've been losing consistently.  Hope it helps.  Hugs, Pat

    Re: WW and Alli questions

I am so happy to hear this response.  I am on WW point program and I have lost about 5 to 7 pounds.  I am exercising 3 to 4 days a week.  I have been keeping a close eye on the new Alli and the response that I read on this website message board.  I can't wait to get it next week.

    Re: WW and Alli questions

I have lost about 40 pounds on WW, and I have about 25 to go.  Since I've been on a plateau for a while, I decided to start combining Alli with WW to see if I can start losing again, and finally get to goal.  I am on Flex and my daily points are only 18.  I already have a fairly low-fat diet, so I'm not too worried about any "treatment effects".  Hopefully, this will be a successful experiment for me!

    Re: WW and Alli questions

I am using a general food book from the book store, then putting the info into the points calculator I got frm WW.  I have the battery operated one.

    Re: WW and Alli questions

I am on WW and Alli and love the combo.  I have just been counting points.  I counted fats my first few days on Alli and found that I wasnt even near 19 grams per meal (my allotment) so now I just count points.  I have been on WW for 4 months, and Alli since June 16.  Its really boosted my weight loss.

    Good luck to everyone.

    Re: WW and Alli questions

Hi Hello Ladie! I started Alli last Tues (June 26) and have been doing WW online for a few weeks now. I bought the book the goes with Alli and read about the other diets that work well with the pill, and WW was listed as the best, because its points already keep a high fiber, low fat diet.

I have found the trick to be a little initial work in the beginning, but figuring out what each item is worth fat wise. It is easier for those items that are pre-packaged, but even fresh meat from the grocery has the nutritional information on it. I got a note book and am writing down the fat g for each serving size. To tell you the truth, it only took a few days and I seem to have a good handle on it. I don't weigh in until tomorrow, but I snuck a peak today to see and since Tuesday, I have lost 1.7 pounds. NOT BAD!!

It is nice to have support. But making a point to spend points wisely I think is the key. I suppose spending the points on a piece of chocolate cake is not the best thing, and Alli does not like that, as I felt it the next morning.  :(  Oh well, live and lern!!

Lets keep posted!! Good luck all!!

    Re: WW and Alli questions

I have been doing WW since 11/06 and have lost 30 lbs.  I had totally pleateaued and started taking alli on 06/17/07.  It's been two weeks and I'm down 3 lbs.  I started taking alli to kick start my WW regime and it works!  I found that if you monitor your points thru WW, you really don't need to worry about the fat grams with alli.

    Re: WW and Alli questions

So two people have said that you don't really count the fat grams because WW is already low fat.  Thanks!  I will probably keep an eye on the fat grams the first few days to make sure myself but it would be awesome to just count the points.

I lost 91 pounds on WW a few years back but then quit smoking and have gained back about 65.  Since I haven't been able to get a handle of my eating and I am hoping that Alli will do the trick for me.  Good luck to you all!

    Re: WW and Alli questions

I have been on WW since July/04 and lost 27 lbs. in 10 months and reached goal in May/05. But have gained back about 12 lbs. I am trying to figure out exactly how to use the meal plan stuff. But I have been doing WW so long until I just can't eat my allowed 1800 calories a day. So may I'll just stick with the point system and log my food into the Nutrition tracker. I like to see my daily nutrition.
