Lisa, don't give up. I'm not a dietitian, but as a person who's done just about every diet out there, I can tell you that you'll find your magic bullet. Some people do better eating low carb/hi protein. Others do better on high complex carbs and lower protein. Try different ways, or see your doctor and ask if there might be another problem (thyroid?) that's keeping you from losing.
I started alli a week ago and have lost 8 lbs. Sure, some is water weight, but it really does work. Maybe cut back farther on your calories - I did, after not seeing any progress at 1800/day. I'm now keeping it under 1300, and less than 40 g fat, and it's WORKING. I haven't even started doing any exercise or walking yet!
