junk2: I have been on WW in the past with good results. My concern now is if I follow it with Alli will I be getting enough fat? I have been on Alli one week and have not lost a pound. I have drastically cut back on my fat and calories and have been walking. I am upset to say the least, but am assuming it may be from not getting enough fat. Why is 19 grams of fat per meal so important? Also if I buy a WW meal and it only has 6 grams of fat should I eat more with it?
The fat is important because the Alli capsules work by blocking 25% of the fat you eat so little or no fat = little or nothing to block. There's a great post at the top of this message board about "why fats are important." I urge you to read it, I think it will help a lot.
Yes, you'll need to add something like a salad with oil and vinegar, or LF milk; or whole grain roll with peanut butter to get to your recommended level. Since you mentioned 19 grams per meal, you're on the 1,800 calorie level, I assume. I realize this may sound strange to eat more fat to lose weight, but that's the way Alli works. Please read that post.
Glad you're walking as well. Exercise is always helpful!
