Re: What is *with* the pill case?

Couldn't agree with you more!  But I might add--not all that easy to open without having little allies flying all over the place.  Maybe I am just getting older and less coordinated!?  You would think they could have devised a clever little holder that would dispense one pill at a time. Alli Peez anyone?  At leat the container does fit nicely in the side compartment of my purse!  Do you wonder if they read these posts and act on any of them?

I, too, don't care for the pill case's design.  My husband's a pharmacist.  He brought home a pill case sold at his business that is small, discreet, and easy to use without spilling pills.  It's approximately 1-3/4 by 1-1/2 inches.  The brand is EZY DOSE and it's called the "Indestructo Pill Box".

Re: What is *with* the pill case?

The pill case - I'd definitely do some design improvements, but I do use it. It's convenient for me to fill and throw it in my lunch bag in the morning. I'll throw 6 of them in the case when we go camping this weekend.

I don't get what the big deal is though as to whether people see it and know what it is or not. Obviously those same people can look at you and see that you are overweight or need to drop a few pounds, at least let them see that you are doing something about it.

One more thing - I took the prescription strength for about a week a couple of years ago and found the TEs too much to handle. I've only been taking this a few days so far but haven't had any TE's at all. I don't know that the pleasure of a higher fat meal is going to outweigh the chance of having an "accident".

LOL!!!! I'm sitting at my desk at work and I'm sure my co-workers are wondering what I'm cracking up about. Thanks for a great laugh!

I noticed that the case is weird too. But I found that the middle one is perfect for putting my multi-vitamin in sideways. I take the One a Day weight control advance. But now I have room for 4 Alli pills

Re: What is *with* the pill case?

The blue case is very helpful.  I could understand your confusion because you are not using it correctly.  The two end slots each hold 2 alli pills vertically, the middle section holds a multi vitamin (which you are directed to take once a day) horizontally.  Make sense?  Also, the pack is designed to not break the pill capsules.  As some of you have probably experienced before - capsules can break open to disclose a powdery inside - resulting in losing the pill.  I know the cost has been a concern to some, and I do believe the container is a great help to most.  I think it is much classier to pull out a small blue quiet container, than to whip out a bottle of pills and pop one in your mouth!!!

Hope that helped - take your multi vitamins and you might think differently about the case!!  It really fits perfectly.

Did any of you happen to read the info that said NOT to store it in your pocket if it is against your body because it will get too warm?

    Just wondering!

Re: What is *with* the pill case?

I like the case, I put my vitamin in the center, then two Alli's on one side, & an Alli & my blood pressure pill on the other. I dont care who knows I am taking Alli, so the obviousness of it doesnt bother me.

Re: What is *with* the pill case?

Since most of us are home at night, before bed, and we are only supposed to take the multivitamin before bed, why would the middle slot be for a vitamin? We should not be embarrased to take a vitamin, even if we weren't home, and if we spill one then we could pick it up off the carpet and still take it. With the alli pill, we might be embarassed to take it in public and since it costs so much, we cannot afford to drop one on a dirty resturant floor. Dumb design.
