Sleepless Nights and Numerous Potty Trips

Has anyone experienced sleepless nights?  I am having many of them and am also up every two to three hours to tinkle!

This is so frustrating as Lord knows, I need my beauty sleep!!

Re: Sleepless Nights and Numerous Potty Trips

I've been taking the pills since Monday.  I was up a lot last night tinkling too.  Figured it's simply my body adjusting to the changes in my diet and that I'm drinking more water.  I'm going to give it a bit to adjust and see what happens.  When my husband was diagnosed with type II diabetes and changed his diet his muscles even got sore from the change in diet and he experienced change in bowel movements/constipation.  So I realize any time you change your diet your body has to adjust.  If it doesn't adjust within a week or two then it's time to consult with a doctor as other problems may be the cause.

    Hi Jolylady!

Are you taking your vitamin at night?  Sometimes that can keep me awake.  Check your vitamin for green tea, ginseng, stuff like that.

Have you increased your daily water intake to more than 64 oz a day?  If so, the bi-hourly tinkle train should stop soon, once your body adjusts to all the water you're drinking.

I'm glad someone else is experiencing this.  I thought it was a coincidence. I have been taking the alli for about 5 days now.

I haven't been sleeping well, either and I have to pee alot during the night now. It's not normal for me and it is pretty annoying. :(

    Good luck. :)

Had a few restless nights with the full moon recently but that's it.  If you're drinking more water while dieting, you may find you're hitting the bathroom more...just an idea.  I haven't had any negative effects from this....being very disciplined for a change in my life.  Kim

Re: Sleepless Nights and Numerous Potty Trips

I am so glad to see that others are experiencing 'midnight potty trips'. I thought I was crazy. I swear there is a mild diuretic in these pills. I figured my body was just adjusting to the meds. I hope so anyhow!

To help the situation, I am trying not to drink any water after 7p. This gives me three hours to pee. I've only tried it for a couple of nights, but it seems to work!  Good Luck!
