Hi Firestar. I second the comments about the difference in
scales - they do all read differently. Start weighing yourself on the
same scales in the same clothes and at the same time. Also my
calorie recommendation is 1800. I am usually hitting around 15-1600. I
have lost some weight - but not at the 7 & 10 lb rate that some are
reporting. At first I was dissapointed with my 2lb a week loss. Then I
realised that my normal weight loss at the beginning of a diet is about
the same - but I i am usually trying to stick to 1000-1200 and that is
really hard so I end up breaking it after a couple of weeks. I do feel
that I will stick to this one because I am not starving all the time -
and I build a treat into my daily menu. So please don't give up. If you
still find you are not losing any weight on 1800 maybe drop to 1500 or
1600. 1200 is so hard to stick to long term - and I suspect that is why
so many of us have failed in the past - I know that has been my
problem.
And I do find these boards very supportive - I freaked
because I had put on 2lbs after July 4th (when I broke my diet a little
but not badly enough to put on 2 lbs!) and people were quick to
reassure me and support me - much of the advice given was spot on - and
the support was priceless. Good luck - don't get discouraged. Oh and
just ignore the obnoxious comments - every forum I am part of you get
at least one or two people who get their jollies by attacking others -
the best thing to do is just ignore them so they don't get any feed
back.
